Just wondering if anyone besides myself uses a VPN connection for security & encryption purposes of Web surfing and Internet activity. ..

I use ExpressVPN and love it. It does cost me $12.95 a month but I can use it on my android tablet, iphone, and windows laptop...works great and allows torrents.

If you want a free VPN you can checkout TunnelBear VPN. .it's free but blocks p2p and torrents....

VPN does not take the place of secure email. ..just fyi. But it will make you virtually untraceable online and encrypts data coming and going from your device.

Yes I do along with TOR and a few other things.

I use PIA. I was going to use ExpressVPN, but I read they will cancel you account if caught using it for illegal active (things like downloading movie etc.)
Also, PIA was cheaper from memory.

Expressvpn keeps ZERO LOGS and they have optimized servers for handling p2p and torrents....I've had no problems at all

P2p and torrents are not illegal (many people use them to share non copyright content). But downloading pirated movies etc. is illegal.

Sorry for the large copy and paste, but this is from the usage policy (the third bulletin was the one I was referring to)

Guess I missed that part! Lol...oh well. I've been downloading movies and music torrents without any issues...but I guess they do put that out there....so they can't say they didn't warn me if I am caught downloading copyright $hit

I use private Internet access as well. I started using a VPN because I torrent a lot of things and I don't like the idea of my searches and visits being monitored. I highly recommended everyone use a VPN no matter what you use the net for.

Using a VPN does make for slower speeds...however with express VPN there are MANY servers both domestic and foreign to choose from. i have roughly 25Mbps Internet speeds and when going thru VPN I see 13-18Mbps. Evenso, it's plenty fast for me - especially since I know everything I do is encrypted.

I officially switched about five minutes ago. ..pretty impressed. I went with the annual plan that only makes it $3.33/month...great deal. Thanks guys!

I researched all of them prior to and hands down the easiest one to use and most secure I found was express vpn. It was so simple and I've found no noticeable slow down in speed. My printer won't connect when I'm on it (idk why lol not that techy to want to figure it out) but all in all its been a breeze with express

I've been using PIA (switched from ExpressVPN) and I've noticed a big difference in quality. PIA servers seem way slower and I constantly have to disconnect and reconnect to use the Internet. It's almost like it times out of the Internet/VPN is not used for an extended period of time.

just use the tor browser. if you need to access sights that don't allow the tor browser then use your vpn.
