Do 6 days on and 1 off ....I did that up until I injured my knee and loved it !! Grew and didnt get burner out .....remember the human body is amazing piece of equipement ...I hear of people saying they overtrained and need a break ....I wouldnt say that at all ..the term "overtrained" is throwed around too much imo .....if any concern of "overtraining" is in mind just de tune your work outs for a day or 2 each week.....If you love working out and its your passion I dont wanna point you in a different direction .....this is my opinion and .02 ...

Offseason I like 2 on 1 off. If your trying to Gain rest is hugely important. Contest prep I'm different as in not necessarily trying to gain

Tip: Manipulate Intensity, Volume, and Frequency | T Nation (https://www.t-nation.com/training/tip-manipulate-intensity-volume-and-frequency)

Intensity, volume, and frequency all contribute too your diet, rest, supplementation, and genetics on what works best for you. For me, I train VERY VERY high intensity, with high frequency training EVERY bodypart Every other Day. so 1 on 1 off. Volume varies as recovery dictates.

From Dorian Yates himself:

Generally speaking, I recommend that a given body part be trained once every six to seven days. You may need slightly more or less time. Just recently a personal training client of mine had a lot of things going on and was only able to hit legs once every 10 days instead of his usual once a week. To his surprise, his strength went up. Apparently he needed a bit more time for his legs to recover all along and just never realized it. So training a body part once a week is a good starting point, but you do need to see if a day more or less works out better. You also always need to keep in mind that systemic recovery needs to be addressed in addition to the recovery of individual muscle groups. Every time you train intensely, your nervous and endocrine systems undergo significant stress. Personally, I never liked to train more than two days in a row. If I ever did, I found that my performance started to suffer noticeably. There are some rare individuals who can make gains training as often as six days a week, but the vast majority of people I have worked with do much better training about four times a week.

Excellent points here....I read a lot of articles on this site as well, and have used some of the advice with great success. Tip: Manipulate Intensity, Volume, and Frequency | T Nation (https://www.t-nation.com/training/tip-manipulate-intensity-volume-and-frequency)

I too myself
Love the gym!! I also was carb cycling and hated my rest days from a food standpoint making them even worse ha. But I am moving to a 5 day spot now and I know in the past when I have added rest days t has really helped me. I'll fully admit I've prolly been overtraining and looking forward to resting a little. Ore and really growing come my Blast soon.
