I have the utmost respect for boxing . I took my son to train with Mickey Goodwin .
He was a connected man and when he died the news reported that he was brutally beaten in his house .
After the autopsy they found out he had a aneurism and fell down the steps . He was a tough motherfucker and crawled back up stairs to his bed . 2 things I learned from him . The NEWS is speculative and Boxers are tough MotherFuckers .
RIP Mickey Goodwin

Good shit man love me some Canelo, but sadly alot of combat fans are turning their heads to UFC with their WWE antics.

Boxing is "boring" to the uneducated. The sweet science is fading away like cursive hand writing.
Im a combat sport lover. I watch anything. Mma,boxing, muythai, kickboxing

I agree with you Wiggles, kids don't understand the art of the sport. Seems like it's big in Eastern Europe, dying in America. Where I am at it's hard to even find a boxing gym close by.

I love boxing. I only really watch UFC because boxing is hardly ever on TV. Nothing beats the prime Mike Tyson days when I was a teenager.

Wish I could of watched Tyson live, was a bit to young. I watch his stuff online, he was a nasty fighter.

I always liked the Tyson fights altho they were usually over pretty quickly.

I still enjoy boxing, but I am afraid it is dying off ass you said ever since Dana White bought the UFC and turned it into a hollywood thing.

There just aren't any exciting, larger than life type personalities in the sport anymore. The closest thing was Mayweather, who was always a good performer, although not exactly a knockout artist. Hopefully it's just an off cycle and someone will step up and fill the void.

Wish I could of watched Tyson live, was a bit to young. I watch his stuff online, he was a nasty fighter.I remember when he lost to Buster Douglas in 1990. Man, I couldn't even believe it. Felt like someone killed Superman. He never really recovered from that defeat, either. I think he was just mentally out of the game at that stage. Too bad that one of the greatest, most feared pugilists to ever put on the gloves degenerated into an ear biting caricature of himself. At least all the classic fights are out there to rewatch.
