View Full Version : Second cycle, first cycle log

Getting ready to start again in a couple weeks...just waiting for my on cycle and post cycle meds to come in the mail. I know it's kinda late in the season to start a bulk, but I had to wait until I had EVERYTHING before starting. As of now, my upcoming cycle will look like this:

Weeks 1-12: Test Cyp 500mg/wk and Deca 300mg/wk (injections split on Sunday and Wednesday)

Weeks 12-14: Test Cyp 500mg/wk (Sunday and Wednesday injections)

Weeks 4-14: HCG 250iu twice weekly (Monday and Thursday)

Weeks 17-22: PCT - Clomid 50/50/50/50/50 & Nolva 20/20/20/20/20

I'll have Caber and Aromasin on hand, probably going to take both from start to finish. Caber I'll probably run until it's gone @ .25mg twice weekly and Aromasin 12.5 EOD or so to start.

I'm starting this log early so that I can get input on my diet and exercise before starting my injections. As of right now, I've got the Test and Deca on deck from Sovereign Labs, and I'm hoping to have everything else within the next 2 weeks. Pre cycle bloodwork will be posted as soon as I get it, most likely this week or next. I am open to constructive criticism, so please feel free to make any suggestions on anything that can improve my gains on this cycle.

I am currently weighing in around 207lbs. 5'10" tall. My 1RM on deadlift is 445, Bench is 295, and Squat is 315. My goals on this cycle are to hit a healthy 220lbs and put 50lbs on my deadlift, 20 on bench, and 20-30 on my squat.

For now, I'll be posting workouts and updates on my diet. Just a little info on my scheduling, I work graveyard weekends (Fri. night through Wed. night), from 11pm - 7:30am. It's very difficult to stay consistent with my eating 7 days a week, but I do my best...and I can definitely use some help with my late night snacks on shift. My job is not very labor intensive, so I try to keep snacks throughout the night limited. My off days are normal sleep pattern days, so I think that might be the hardest part of my cycle... maintaining consistent rest and eating habits throughout the week, coincidentally the 2 most important aspects of strength training.

good simple cycle but maybe you should think about increase HCG dosage while PCT and something for kick start ??

Running HCG during PCT is the least effective way to use the hormone. I won't be taking HCG during PCT at all. Actually, from what this information listed below explains, I should stop taking the HCG 2 weeks before my last pin, but I think I'll run it all the way until my last injection of Test. Recovery SHOULD be much quicker and using it on cycle should prevent testicular atrophy.

Since this is my second cycle, I don't want to introduce any orals yet, and I'd like to stick with adding only one variable at a time to my cycle. I wasn't happy with my first, so until I've got it down...I'd like to just keep it simple and take things slow.

Don't judge me too harsh.... cupboards were bare today, I'm actually lucky I got this close to my caloric goal today. Hit the store tonight though...Mozzarella stuffed meatloaf, Beef roast with sweet potatoes, and Sesame Chicken with rice on the menu for this week. Standby to standby!

Had a bowl of Pumpkin Spice Cheerios for breakfast at work(BOMB.COM!!), then came home to the sweet smell of Chuck Tender Roast and Sweet Potatoes :) Only 5 hours of sleep today, got home from work at 8am and woke up at 1pm to go pick up my daughter from school.

Hit a heavy back session tonight with my better half. Pulled 405 for a strong double, then threw a couple 5's on to make it 415 for a single. Worked up to it obviously. Feeling really confident on reaching my goal of 500lbs by the end of this upcoming cycle. Got all my post cycle meds in the mail today (thanks to AEL for the extended Thanksgiving promo). Just waiting on one more order from Napsgear to start!! So freaking stoked...ready to make some GAINS!

Are you on TRT? Because if not I dont like the idea of taking Deca Durabolin.

Also a dose of 100mg of Clomid is going to ring your bell as far as side effects. If I where you I would look into that more. I have heard many experts say that 50mg is more than enough. DO a google search "50mg Clomid more than enough"

I'm not on TRT. What do you have against using Deca? I'll look into the Clomid dosage some more, but from what I've read...sides from Clomid are generally tolerable on doses 100mg or less. I know it depends on the individual, but with my first cycle, I took 50mg everyday for 4 weeks and I am just now (within the last month or so) starting to feel normal again....in the gym, and out. My last pin on my first cycle was about 5 months ago, so the recovery process has been longer than I had hoped; that was on 500mg of Test. This led me to believe that my PCT was not on point, so I figured that I would try to start higher than before and taper down.

Anyhow, thanks for the input and suggestions. Can you reiterate more on the Deca?

Did some more reading this morning, and I think you're right about the use of Clomid. I'm still battling acne on my back that came about during PCT and I do remember being super emotional post cycle. Figured it was just the fluctuating hormone levels, but I've read more on the side effects of Clomid...and I can definitely say that I should maybe stick to 50mg for PCT. Thanks again for the suggestion!

Agreed with the above on your clomid dose. 50 is plenty. The nolva dose schedule you have laid out is fine as well. The 40 first two weeks may not be necessary but won't hurt you. You could also think about doing 5 weeks extending it out a little 50/20 all 5 weeks if you have enough clomid.

I'll be good on Clomid for 5 weeks, ordered enough to cover my previous plan of 100/100/50/50. I'll run 50mg/day for 5 weeks. Thanks for the input!

Looking good brotha! If i may make a small suggestion.... Substitute 1 of your bsn scoops... Just one.. I notice u like it thats cool.... For 4oz of liquid egg whites (pasterized). If you can handle eggs digestively that is... Carry on sir! Good work!

I can definitely handle eggs, and my usual go to on my days off is egg whites and diced potatoes...but the last few days I've picked up some extra Dad duties in the morning, so I'm limited on time in the morning. Other days I'm at work, so I just shoot for a quick protein boost with my cereal or whatever. Thanks for the suggestion, I'll be trying to get more eggs in for breakfast whenever possible.

Just a little update, nothing has changed too much. Still waiting on my cycle support and keeping track of my macros. Still tough to hit 3500 calories per day and keep it clean, but I'm getting closer...within a couple hundred calories. Macros are pretty much on point right now....about 40% carbs, 40% protein, and 20% fat. Hit Shoulders today with the misses....great workout, and one of my favorite muscle groups. Supersets on chin-ups/cable shrugs/alternating cable curls, lateral raises/hammer curls, and rear delt fly/reverse grip barbell curls.

Thanks for checking it out! Can't wait to start my cycle....Hopefully within the next couple weeks....As soon as I get my package from Napsgear, I can start. I'll also be dropping the results from my blood work before, during, and after my cycle.

Started the 20 rep squat challenge today (reference: 2-Rep Squats: The Brutal Path To Massive Gains! (http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/irontamer5.htm)), because my squat is lacking, and I've always been a firm believer that if you want to work on your weaknesses, then do them over and over again until they become one of your greatest strengths. Went with the formula in the above reference to calculate my starting weight of 175lbs. I'll be doing this workout every other day for the next 6 to 8 weeks. Progress will be a reflection of my determination!!!!!

Day 1: Began with a 40 min ab workout, planks were 2 mins and I did one plank at the beginning of my an workout the other at the end. Gotta figure out how to change it from weight and reps to time.

As long as I get my snacks in at work tonight, I'll hit my 4000 calorie goal for today :) Macros on point too!! I've never had to force myself to eat like I do now....Eating 4000 clean calories is not fucking easy. Props to those out there that hit their marks on a daily basis!!

Thanks for the tip brother, it's tough to get those calories in sometime. I just recently found out how versatile Greek Yogurt is. I put it in all my shakes too.

Greek is the best but when you mix in your protein with it you can use a generic brand because when you mix in your protein it changes the taste a little anyway. I use Kroger brand vanilla with vanilla protein taste good. Never tried the yogurt in the shake ,sounds good though i'll give it a try. Keep up the good work

BOOM! Cycle has officially started. I'll be running gear from Sovereign Labs. I've been planning this cycle for months, so excited to see the changes over the next 14 weeks. I'll be pinning twice weekly, on Sundays and Wednesday. Each injecton will be 250mg of Test Cyp and 150 mg of Deca. Caber @ .25mg E3D and Aromasin @ 12.5mg EOD to start. HCG will start week four, and I'm thinking 250iu twice a week should suffice.

Just wanna add, first injection went super smooth. Warmed up the oil beforehand and my girlfriend did the injection for me. Went into the glute, which is pretty simple. Only change I'll make I think is that after I go through this box of 22 gauge needles, I might go with 23 or 25 gauge for injection purposes.

BTW...absolutely no PIP from my first injection. Two days later, I feel great. I think it may be partly due to my switch from 1 1/2" needles to 1". Although there wasn't much PIP toward the end of my last cycle, so maybe I've just developed some scar tissue or something...Thoughts?

I never counted the sleds weight or the bar on the Smith machine. I never knew what it was!
So the sled is 45lb? Is that for all machines tho?

Hey Anzel, I'm not sure if that goes for all sleds. I had a buddy, who is a legitimate gym rat tell me that he counts the sled as 210 lbs. He didn't explain how he got to that number, but he did say that I was robbing myself as far as calculating total leg press weight goes. Me personally, Ive never heard of any REAL lifter using the leg press as a bragging right, but I thought I'd look into the idea of the sled weight and compare it to his claim. What I got was this:

"At 45 degrees the force that your lifting is equal to .707 of whatever you lift. It has to do with the slope of the machine, if you lift 1000 pounds on a 45 degree angled machine your muscles only feel*707 pounds*of the force. the leg press sled counts as*75 pounds."

What I took from this is basically what I believed beforehand...the weight of the sled is not enough to bother with when keeping track of previous records. No legitimate professional organization recognizes the leg press as a competition lift, so the weight I put down matters not. I'll continue to count only the weight added to the sled, but to each his own.

I don't count the weight of the bar on the Smith Machine either....It's pointless to me. When I document my workout, anything assisted like that goes down as weight added to the bar, and that's it.

Just wanna drop an update. 2nd week starts today, and I did my normal injection. I'm having trouble getting an erection and maintaining it. Sex drive is still there, just not able to do anything with it. The only change I've made since I've started is that I went from taking 12.5mg Aromasin eod to everyday, but I've been splitting my dose up in the morning and at night (6.25mg at 8am and 6.25 at 8pm). I have been a tad bloated the last few days, and I'm thinking it may be that my estrogen levels are too high. Maybe breaking the Aromasin into fourths is making it ineffective. I'm going to stop splitting the pill in fourths and start taking 25mg once per day. I'll adjust from there if I'm still having issues. On the upside, great workout today...Went in and hit Chest and Back.

Jumped my Aromasin to 25mg ED as of yesterday, and upped my Caber to .5mg E3D. Upped the Caber hoping to counteract some of the sexual side effects from what I can gather is an increase in E2 levels. Some of the sides I've been having include oily skin, bloating/water retention, acne, headaches (I'm guessing from spikes in BP), fatigue, and ED. I'm thinking that I'm very sensitive to the spike in estrogen, so I'll stick with the 25mg until the sides ease up, then I may go to 25mg eod. Gonna keep my Caber at .5 for awhile. Hit Shoulders and Arms tonight, working for reps with a lot of supersets.

Had an ED issue last week, also fell of my clean eating...Mainly on account of the fact that I was broke and fridge wasn't stocked so I wasn't eating anywhere near my caloric goal. I'm pretty sure I was overdosing my Aromasin at 25mg ed, and so I dropped the Aromasin on Thursday and got bloodwork done on Friday. I'll be posting the results of my bloodwork as soon as I get them. So it's been 4 days since my last 25mg dose, and I was able to perform on Saturday night. Took 12.5mg Aromasin with my Caber today, hopefully that won't set me back on my e2 levels. Getting this AI dialed in has got to be the worst past of learning about AAS and how my body responds to them. It seems like everyone has a different way of doing this and everybody responds to these medications differently; also it's extremely hard to differentiate between high estrogen and low estrogen simply by the sides alone. Not sure if my body is 100% recovered from my "e2 crash" (if that's what it was), but I guess I'll be dropping my dosage to 12.5mg e3d. I will be getting bloodwork every 2 weeks until I get this issue resolved. Back on clean eating and 3500-4000 calories, effective immediately.

What did I learn from this? 25mg ed this early into the cycle may be excessive. My body doesn't need that much right now.

Got my lab work back from LabCorp, and after getting some input from some other brothers on this page that suggested my 25mg/day dosage of Aromasin was too much and I had crashed my estrogen...The bloodwork actually shows my estrogen levels elevated!! Do I jump back on 25mg per day? Or should I even consider upping it? I guess I'll go back on 25mg a day. You think splitting the dose to 12.5mg every 12 hours would be best? Or one 25mg every 24 hours?

Haven't posted in a couple weeks, mainly because I've been sick, lost a few pounds due to loss of appetite, and I lost a lot of sleep while I was trying to recover from whatever was going on. Started feeling a lot better the last few days, so I'm back up to my 3500-4000 calorie eating regimen and I'm starting to get back to normal with my workouts. Even when I was sick, I was still hitting the gym 6 days a week, 2 to 3 hours a day...I just wasn't eating enough to put any weight on. I also had the issue with my elevated estrogen levels and limp dick. Picked up some liquid Cialis and Aromasin from Recon Peptides, and started taking the Cialis @ 10-15mg ED or so...This has definitely helped and let's just say that the old lady has had ZERO complaints about the addition of Cialis into my regimen. Stayed on the Aromasin from Geneza Pharmaceuticals at 25mg ed even though I was told my numerous people that it was most likely under dosed. The reason I've stayed with this Aromasin is because Napsgear has assured me that it is not under dosed, and because I was only on it 5 days before getting my bloods done last time, I decided to stay consistent with my dosage for 2 weeks and I will get more bloodwork done this week. If my E2 levels are still high, I can tell Napsgear that this product is undoubtedly under dosed and provide them the proof. If I get my bloodwork back and this Aromasin is ineffective, I will start taking the liquid Aromasin that I got from Recon Peptides and get more bloods in 2 weeks.

Injections have stayed consistent, and I don't know what it is, but I have absolutely zero post injection pain with this cycle, and I'm loving it! I've stayed consistent with my Caber dosage (e3d), whether it's necessary at this point, I'm not sure...but I'd rather be safe than sorry as long as I'm having this issue with keeping my levels in check. Haven't started HCG yet, and I'm on my 5th week of my cycle...but I will start as soon as I get my sterile vials and BAC water from Medlabgear. I'm thinking of starting my dosage at 250iu eod for the first week or 2, then dropping it to 250iu e3d for the remainder of my cycle.

I have changed my workout routine a bit, started alternating heavy weeks and moderate weeks. This week is heavy, so working primarily in the 6-12 rep range, aside from my big compound lifts. Light weeks consist of exercises in the 10-20 rep range. Also hitting legs 3 times a week....Trying to build up my Squat and Deadlift. Bloodwork came in yesterday, estrogen levels STILL high after running GP Exemestane @ 25mg ed for the last 2 weeks. Naps says that it's not under dosed, switching to a liquid Exemestane I picked up from Recon Peptides, and I'll get more bloodwork in 2 weeks. In the meantime, I'll have to place an order for some Pharma grade Arimidex. If my next bloodwork still shows high estrogen, I'll be switching to Adex. Right now I'm on my 6th week of my cycle and haven't seen much as far gains go. Diet is pretty good, clean eating with the occasional cheat meal...3500 to 4000 calories on a bad day, 4000 to 4500 on a good day. I also bumped up my Deca this week to 420mg and next week, I'll be bumping it up to 510mg for the remainder of the cycle. Hopefully I'll start seeing some real strength gains soon. I have noticed some significant changes in my muscle density and definition....But this could be a result of my change in workout routine. Still alternating heavy weight/low reps & moderate weight/heavy volume every week and hitting legs 2 to 3 days per week.

Dropping 9 points in 2 weeks isn't that bad, I would give it a little longer before switching just my 2 cents. Also you need to donate blood soon if hemoglobin or hermatocrit get too high they won't let you donate, and you need to get something for your liver, Tudca gets good reviews or maybe some milk thistle.

Ordered some cycle support that contains Milk Thistle as well as NAC (Amazon.com: Cycle Support - Iron Labs Nutrition: On Cycle Protection & Liver Assist (12 Capsules): Health & Personal Care (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007HP04UM/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1)). I'll start adding that into my daily regimen ASAP, and if it brings my AST/ALT down..then I'll pick up another bottle and continue to run it throughout. Also ordered some Alpha-Pharma A-Dex from Napsgear, along with an additional 10000iu HCG, since I'm going to be extending this cycle until June. Pretty sure that my estrogen levels are still high on this liquid exemestane that I picked up (25mg/day), but I'll know for sure when I get blood work done next week. Still gotta get to the Red Cross and see about donating blood, which I'll be doing this week to try to get my RBC/Hemoglobin/Hematocrit levels dropped. Bumped my Deca up to 540mg/week, and I'll most likely be keeping it there until I run out (approximately another 5 weeks or so). Felt like shit last week, missed 3 days in the gym and diet went to shit, didn't eat like shit...just didn't eat much, lost a few pounds. Got back in yesterday to start my week with Chest and Arms, then went in and smashed Legs tonight. Diet is back on point, and I'll do what I can to keep it that way for the rest of my cycle. Thinking about dropping my Test to 250mg/week and adding in 50mg Anavar ED for 8 weeks once this Deca is toast. That'll push my cycle to about 20 weeks, then I'll go into PCT to finish it out. Estrogen is the only issue right now, and I'll tell you what, if I can get that shit in check...I know I can get more out of this cycle.
