Dont wanna be old

The cable company sent out letters stating they are no longer sending out warnings for piracy enfridgements . I watch movies on my firestick and worried this letter pertains to me .
I'm not downloading content but watching thru video streams .
Not sure what the firestick would do if I didn't stream TV and movies .
Any insight would be appreciated . I don't want the Feds knocking down my door for watching Magic Mike XL .
Regards

letters are for downloading and sharing (torrenting) as of no there are no issues with firesticks unless you are saving the films instead of watching.

I'm going to be going with tiger stream myself. It streams tv and movies from a wifi signal. It's a little spendy for the unit up front but the amount of free tv channels and free new release movies will pay for itself in 6 months of no cable bill.

I was thinking about getting the firestick. My cable bills are just outrageous $198 for a DVR and basic cable. GTFO. I cancelled it when I got back from FL and now all I have is high speed internet, which is $60 but when I had my cable plan it was $40 - so I had to argue why I'm getting the same internet speed and service but now that I dropped the channels its $20 more?? No one could give me an answer. I have Spectrum and unfortunately - all of lower manhattan is wired for Time Warner Cable / Spectrum. :flaming23444:

They know how to package the channel line up to get you to pay more. I said Fuck them a long time ago.

Internet companies can certainly detect that you are streaming illegal movies from Kodi. They know source IPs from Netflix and can distinguish that between Kodi streams. Simple solution though is just get a vpn client. I use IPVanish and the entire year is around $20 for up to 5 devices. I use it on my fire tv, Android tv, and my phones.

Ip box is the way to go let some else get the letter . Plus the feed is way better . is about double the cost but it's worth it in my opinion
