You can start TRT through a doctor if he blood tests you and your low, I was maybe 41-42, tried androgel 2 packets a day with very little effect I'm now 47, I would advise against creams or gels they take forever to dry and 2 packets almost coats your body and takes about 20 minutes to dry, the Drs. say don't put it on your balls after a month of no effect that's where I put it first and it barely raised my numbers, that's 10 grams of testosterone a day! I wish I would have know some way of converting it to an injectable form. Then after 8 months I got another insurance and it was going to be $600.00 a month. They wouldn't cover it, like it was cosmetic!

It really has less to do with age and more to do with numbers. Get yourself tested. I wish I would have years ago I probably would have qualified for TRT in my early 30's or even earlier. As long as your numbers justify being on TRT age is kind of irrelevant IMO.

I started trt at 30. Wish I had tested for low t earlier in life though, as I'm pretty confident it may have started a couple years prior to my starting.

56 here, first started TRT at 50..wish I started earlier also. But I was natty and accused of using steroids my whole life (just have sick genes) and let my ego get in the way of feeling as good as I could have.

Thanks guys just wanted to get a gauge on it....the science and the application for TRT is so important and I have a good resource to read though all the notes on this board. TRT in Australia is a lot harder to get help from the doctor or even get a dr to understand the importance. Thanks!

It's probably because you guys are a bit crazy and have like double the testosterone in your bodies to begin with. I had a buddy played football down there for a year and he told me all kinds of stories about how crazy Aussies were. He said it was weird to go to the gym and half the the guys were outside smoking between sets! He said them Aussies love to smoke. He said they would be jogging with. Cigarette in their mouth!

in south aus.. its a sustanon 250 every 3rd week, you can get that more frequent once the doc is cool. I get one amp every 5 days.. 12 amps at a time...

it becomes easier if you can hit a soft spot on your doc..rather than go in all 'gimmee test'... try 'my mrs has a high sex drive, I cant keep up anymore, shes is going to leave me, wat can I do? he will offer Cialis and or Viagra..say thanks, look happy.. leave the docs....but damn, that gave you a intense migrane, go back, explain wat happened..
he will test you.. which you can manipulate with timing.. say after a cycle, wen your levels are low.. it is harder than before, but still doable.. I got mine wen I was in my early 20's.. been banking em and blasting them forever!!

That's probably it! Instead of Test you guys get tren! That buddy of mine who played football down there had a girlfriend there. He had left his fiancé here with the intent to marry her when he got back to the states. So he gets back and a few months later guess who calls? The Aussie girlfriend, while he's sleeping next to his bride to be! She has come to the states, not sure how he got out of that one.

i started ... i started .... i stared hmm any one of you know what was your test level before TRT and how its look now ??
My test at december was ~150 now its about 650 ... and i add only few things to my diet ( all you can get from swanson ) and ive spend on it about $200 for 3 months ...
First all should check, prolactin, cortisol, E2, progesterone, SHGB ........ levels and read how it should look, what is effect of each and first try to heal your bodies instead of shoot test till the end of your life this is just my 2 cents

Id say it wasn't caused from AAS but i cant 100% prove it, lol decided to do a cycle one day and all of a sudden a lot of issues got better and it made me question things abit so once i came off did pct etc and waited a decent amount of time i told my doctor the truth of what i did and how it fixed symptoms i had complained of previously which lead to testing, blood tests showed low so got sent to an endo who i was also honest with but he wanted more solid evidence that it wasn't just me low from me manipulating levels. Shit load of tests and stress later MRI showed issues and i got a script... only took around 2 years haha

i started my own trt last sept, just after turning 58, when doc refused to help. had test level at 200 ng/dl. so he reruns it and says it came back at 318. didn't bother to get a redraw. i figured the lab fudged the numbers for him. that was aug. so i did more research on my own and got started. "i'm feeling much better now", lol.
i notice a dramatic difference when i stop now, even for a week and a half.
you aussies aren't the only ones with problems getting docs to listen. it's a matter of what area you're in or who your doc is, or just plain dumb luck. mine is a va doc, so you can imagine what i put up with. lol.
never did steroids before last sept, except an androgel once when i was around 50 y/o. had no effect.
i may or may not be the oldest on here, but i do not think age is necessarily a factor in needing trt. one guy on here needed them in his 30's, because of genetics.

At age 36 I had never ran gear and my test levels came back at 40 doc put me on try then after winning my first show I told him I wanted to cycle he told me to run what I wanted cause I would be on try for life he pulls blood on me every 6 months and when I decide to just maintain and stop growing he would put me on pellets but I like pinning lol

i started trt at age 25, never used any AAS prior to but lived a very stressful life. levels came back low on two separate tests. Did my first pin in the doctors office and ill be pinning once a week the rest of my life.

yeah gels are shit. im probly the youngest one on trt here. im 21. tested at 305.on a scale of 300-1100 started 5 months ago at age 20

this was also after taking dhea for like 2 weeks. which im sure fucked it all up. (which by the way is a fuckin nightmare. dont fuck with your adrenal glands)

but a year ago on natural test boosters i was only at 445. fuck that. id rather pin the rest of my life n be in the 900s and not have to worry about my levels fluctuating between day n night, worrying about cortisol and diet to keep my test right. you bet ur ass i was scowering the internet for info on how the HPTA functions, testosterone, primary and secondary hypognadism, diet, LH FSH estrogen igf1 SHBG everything.

i got an easy going urologist, she suggested a clomid restart, and i was actually the one that explained to her it would make sense to start injections considering the fact my LH tested at 7.0 on a scale of like 1.5-9. primary hypogonadic. clomid wouldnt do shit with lh that high. y estrogen was normal and shbg was low

oh shit just read elmos, same as him.

since trt and steroid cycle ive put 100 pounds on my bench squat and around 150 pounds on deadlift, i was only in the mid 100s for all these stats before hand. also put 40 pounds of mass on with a slight decreaese in fat and very inconsistent dieting. definitely the right decision for me. i remember my first shot of testosterone. felt a dopamine rush for 2 hours.

I am 35, went to my Dr, he ordered a few test and my numbers came in at 280. Never pinned before or anything, however had shit tons of surgeries 7 in the last 5 years for torn labrums, distal bicep tendon rupture, shattered ankle, slap tear, and rotator cuff tear so I got a bit out of shape. Dr just prescribed TRT and get my first shot tomorrow.

I am a 28 year old veteran. I had blood work done three times in morning my levels were 36, 43, 49. My endo didn’t want to put me on it but said we really don’t have any options left. Have the labs for those low numbers attached one. I tried my first pin in upper butt yesterday totally did not go well. Need to figure out how to pin correctly.

Endos and even some trt clinics have a very limited understanding of it. If the dr won't prescribe an AI if your estrogen goes high or hcg if your nuts shrink - switch. trt at $200 + a month is such a mark up - considering you can get it direct for $35 for a 9 week supply

Just FYI i was tested at 31 for thr first time im my free test was barely existent and total test was well below 200...at that age 800 plus is where you should be easy. So dont let your age determine if you get tested for it or not

started trt around 34 im now 50 and still cruising, blood work done every 6-8 months, 300mg cyp every week and I keep the prop for when im not feeling right, my joints have been bothering me lately and thinking about trying some deca to oil things up, dr doesn't want to prescribe it so I may get it on my own

Everyone on here who says that they wish they had got tested earlier for low T. Absolutely agree with them. I feel like when I look back I had the symptoms for years. Do yourself a favor and get your T levels tested if you aren’t feeling normal. They come back normal or you have low T and you will feel 100x times better once on testosterone. It changed my life!

I'm on 350/week and I barely test out of the 3-400 range sometimes, it sucks
