I've used the same system a many times but recently when trying to filter using my vacuum and .22 millipore filter it doesn't drip slowly it just collapses and all the product just falls through into the glass bottle. Is the pressure to high? I've just never had this happen before and would appreciate any thoughts. Thanks.

Are you putting the gear into filter while the gear is hot? And what compound are you brewing? Does it have BB in it?

Im going to purchase a cheap vacuum pump to see if my pump is the issue. Maybe too much pressure? It's just always worked before

Would the amount of Bb concentration be a possible cause of this?

That or pes. But the milipore is a pvdf. Which is fine for bb. No issues probly too much psi or vaccum.

My question was for op. Vacuum pumps only create vacuum, not psi. Two totally different things. And I use a 6.5cfm electric vacuum pump and never had an issue.

Me too. Never had a milipore blow out. Only one time because solution was hot. Have to let it cool

Sorry if I delay this thread, but how do I get the liquid flowing through the millipore stericup? I think mine was losing pressure somewhere in the stericup itself. No holes in hose.

It's a millipore .22 easypore. Connects right to my vacuum via a tube. I've filtered using it so many times though. I'm going to make some test and attempt to filter it as well and see if it collapses. If not it was something about the tren. I filter the tren with a whatman by hand. Sorry for the late response guys. I'll let you know if my other stuff filters.

So I tried again today with just some test and same issue. It must be the pump. I have an air admiral and believe it's still good but not sure what the issue is yet. Any idea? Like always I appreciate the help.
