So when is the best time to eat sugar? I don't eat junk 95% of the week but sometimes I want some starbursts or a donut at the office (break room is always stocked). Today I ran out of chicken and rice, so I waited until after my workout and smashed 2 glazed donuts thinking simple carbs might not be bad after throwing some weights around. I also had 2 scoops of whey I keep in the desk to get my protein. If your going to eat shit food what you do all think, waiting till right after your workout is prob the best timing?

Eat it around your workout either before if it will sit in your stomach if not after. Then best answer is never though lol or in moderation

I guess the bigger question is, why are you craving these shit foods? Are you keep your blood sugar levels stable throughout the day with constantly eating?

A nutritionist would say never but if you crave sugar the best times to eat it are right when you wake up and immediately following a workout.

I knew you fuckers would get on me haha. I feel you.

Good question though! I know what you mean about low blood sugar, before I had my diet pretty well dialed in I did get light headed sometimes and sugar would fix me right up. I eat every 2-3 hrs pretty perfectly here at my cushy office job, brown rice - sweet potato - chicken - lean red meat - fish. That's 95% of my diet, but sometimes if I'm feeling like a treat Ill go for it. So I was just wondering if there is any benefit to timing if you are gong to have your treat, regardless of it fitting into a picture perfect diet. I'm happy having a junk treat, wings or some beers here and there so I can be a "normal person" at least once and a while. My big thing is not getting burnt out and enjoying life at the same time.

p.s. that was too much rambling on my part, thanks for the insight on timing though. Just wanted to bounce it around...
