The other day I was out with a few friends one of which is a GP, one of the other guys I was with started talking to the doctor friend about TRT. It was more of a joking hey can you hook me up with some test but the response of the doctor was almost unbelievable. He actually said that shit will shrink your dick and give you a heart attack serious as can be. I know he isn’t a TRT specialist but this seems a little ridiculous to hear from a doctor.

The problem isn't the fact that he is not versed in TRT but the fact that as a doctor he is spilling out info that is incorrect.

Must be common with GP. After asking, and stating my test level is extremely low, 175, he would not prescribe test and stated the exact same thing, about how bad it was. I went to the Urologist, and he immediately prescribed it.

My Dr is the best because he just upped me from 200mg wk to 300mg wk. I do get bloods every three months lipids, psa and of course test and estrogen.. it makes it hard for me to cycle long esters like eq but at the same time it’s a nice dose of test. Also when I go for my next bloods I will drop back down to 200 for a couple of weeks and my numbers should be the same. If I get bloods on 300mg a week my test level will be 2500+ can any board bets chime in. On that num

2500+ is very high, good results of off 300 mg per week...

I've been to many doctors for TRT. Most don't know or care to be knowledgeable. In my experience, they look at test as a simple number and very few look at it relative to age. You can be 40 with test at very low normal. As long as you test above the min threshold, they're ok. Never mind that you have the test levels of a 90yr old man at 40...

Not making excuses but its been ignorant doctors that pushed me to UGLs.....

should have told him, your not going to his practice for anything. my doctor believes that a healthy test level helps prevent a lot of issues- organ shrinkage, decreased mental sharpness, even prostate problems. He's one who believes in solving the problem instead of treating a symptom. Pro TRT.

Regular MD's don't know shit about TRT. I am on it and get 250 mg of cype every 2 weeks. I was told to inject every 2 weeks but blood levels sway too much and I don't feel well. I have gone to 1/2 ml every week. Things are a little better but still have ED and low energy. Last blood test I came in at about 275 total test and my doctor is good with that. Even though I feel like shit I am in the normal range so no bump in dose. I wish I could find a doctor who treats the problem not the symptom. I did not know uroligists did TRT, I may have to look one up and try them out.
