Do you feel that the use of AS has contributed to your injuries? I am curious to know if people have sustained more injuries from the usage of anabolic steroids. I know that there are some steroids that actually help injuries, but I wonder how many people would have less injuries if they did not use.

I was on cycle when I messed up my shoulder from pushing myself to hard. My workouts are always longer when I am on.

Yes my partial torn pec at my last Powerlifting meet was highly contributed by that cycle it's the number one reason it happens when forum is spot on, mine start to tear pressing up about 2 inches high and the bar got took just shot of lock out after I said ah shit!

I learned fast not to do that but the workouts are so much more intense very much more as I can push myself further.

I have yet to suffer a injury. I have close friends, men and women, who have suffered injuries though. Depending on the of injury, most muscle tears close to the tendons seem like it gets blamed on aas. AAS is known to weaken and speed up the deteration of tendons. Why? I read it somewhere but forgot, but almost everyone of my friends was asked by the sports doc right off the bat if they were using, or ever had used AAS. IMO the physical properties of AAS mixed with the mental state of pushing ourselves harder raises the odds of an injury when using AAS.

Really dont know if it was the cause but i would say I pushed myself a little harder than normal when I had a tricept tendon break...But whats to say it would have not torn anyway later down the road...Its all the same I suppose,I know of people who have had just as bad of injuries without ever using aas ever...
