I happened to read this little gem:

FBI questions Emelianenko in connection with Trump, Putin (https://www.yahoo.com/sports/fbi-questions-mma-fighter-trump-russia-connections-155841560.html)

Things are gonna get interesting quick.

Bellator has turned into 'Celebrity MMA.' At least Fedor/Mir was a more entertaining fight than Shamrock/Gracie. Or Kimbo Slice/Dada 5000. But I've got to admire Scott Coker for the living he's making off the fighters who Dana White throws away or drives off.

The opening line for Fedor/Sonnen is -200/+150.

Mir says he lost because he let his ego get the best of him after Fedor judo-threw him. I watched the video again, in slo-mo even, and don't see that Mir looked overly aggressive. He might be thinking he'd decided too early in the fight to stand and bang with Fedor, but it was bound to come to that at some point, and neither one of these guys is a noted knockout artist. He only found himself vulnerable to Fedor's short left uppercut because he threw a left haymaker that missed. Maybe he thinks that punch was too aggressive but if it had connected, it might well have been him getting his hand raised. It would have been brilliant if it had connected. But it missed so he lost because of ego.

Bellator has turned into 'Celebrity MMA.' ...
You couldn't make this shit up.

On Wednesday, Coker is having a publicity event for this weekend's Bellator 199. The event includes a "best sandwich"-making contest (http://mmajunkie.com/2018/05/fans-invited-bellator-199-events-muhammed-king-mo-lawal-ryan-bader-sandwich-making-contest-san-jose) between the headliners of Saturday's event, King Mo and Ryan Bader. The contest will take place in an eatery called Ike's Place in San Jose. The winner's sandwich will then be featured on the Ike's Place menu.

What's next? Fedor -vs- Sonnen in an oil-changing contest at Jiffy-Lube?
