Mirco Cro Cop has called in sick for work for this Friday's Bellator 200 (25 May). Roy "Big Country" Nelson got the Cro Cop fight as a consolation prize for losing to Matt "Meathead" Mitrione in the heavyweight tournament. The nature of Cro Cop's injury is undisclosed (as per usual) but the last time he was hurt he put his ass in a crack by trying to sneak in a little HGH to accelerate the healing. Just another UFC fighter who made a bad decision when pressured into fighting while hurt by Dana White.

And speaking of the UFC, Alistair Overeem -vs- Curtis Blaydes at UFC 225 got demoted to the undercard to make room for Holly Holm -vs- Megan Anderson.

It's got to sting when you're a former title contender and you get bumped off the PPV in favor of two women who between them weigh just about what you do in street clothes.

The good news is, at least he didn't get bumped all the way to the pre-prelims.

The ufc will ride holly holms name until she retires. She is like 1 and 5 since beating rousey. But that is irrelevant because she is the woman who ended ronda rousey.

Cro Cop has a blown left ACL, plus some cartilage damage. He's 43 years old so it would not surprise me if this prompts him to retire from MMA.

And Fabricio Werdum has failed a PEDs control for an as-yet unnamed substance. USADA catches yet another one who somehow slipped through the cracks back home in Brazil. Werdum borrows a page from Wandy Silva's litany of excuses and calls it a "misunderstanding."

The MMA press is giving Dana White shit because he demoted 'Reem to the undercard for UFC 225 but left CM Punk on the PPV. DW's response was 'come talk to me when Overeem sells as many PPVs as Punk does.'

Cris Cyborg only sold 340-380,000 PPVs at UFC 219 (according to mmapayout.com (http://mmapayout.com/2018/01/report-ufc-219-draws-in-the-range-of-340000-to-380000-ppv-buys/)), despite having Nurmagomedev/Barboza and Magny/Condit as warm-up acts. The only UFC champ with a lower PPV draw than Cyborg is Demitrious 'Mighty Mouse' Johnson. Yet she still gets $500,000 a fight. So I wonder if that means Dana will be moving her fights to the undercard in the future.
