I use this for hiking mostly... because my hydration bladder only holds 3 liters and I blow through water like nothing... so I add this stuff and bring my filter straws so I can drink from the rivers if need be... thought I’d share Incase y’all were looking for a hydration solution... if you have a problem hydrating, maybe this could help?

Two quick ones....are you doing 3 days over the weekends or staying in the back country longer?

What’s you straw of choice? I’ve been rocking a Sawyer forever....cheap and damn they work.

We have a very small window, of 3-4 weeks, to get our serious hikes in... for me anyway... I have a temperature dependent handicap, of sort lol... I’m gtg 35-65 degrees temperature to run all day... the warmer it gets, the shorter my window of hours to move gets.... this of course is not including fire trails or easy hikes or anything with a 2,200’ elevation change or less... I can do these any day and all day. I really don’t or won’t when the temps get into mid 70’s unless friends come out and want to see waterfalls or something lol..

That being said, I typically just stay in the backcountry longer when able. We are literally in the window to crank out the serious hikes... I’m afraid I’ll be missing this season... but I have no issues pulling off an over nighter. Nice 6-8 miles in the morning, set up camp by a river, eat, nap, swim, eat, eat, sleep and wake up, eat and head out ;0)

Lol... we start you off on a donkey first... if you can stay balanced on a donkey, we put you on an easy old bull, then you graduate to a bucking beast ;0)

I work outside in triple digit temps all summer long. I started using those this year. They're great!
