I've used it, not for anything g specific. I believe it was designed for drugs and xxxxxxxx, but didn't come with links to any.

Seriously, you all should be using this for sketchy purchases, imho

Plain and simply put....

If you are using Tor without a bitcoin paid vpn set up anonymously, TAILS, public wifi, and never in the same location.... You are darawing more attention to yourself than with an open web browser.

Sometime the best place to hide is in plain sight. Yes Tor has a nice little circuit of exit nodes and half of them are already hacked by the NSA.

Not that the NSA gives two shits about a dude and his vial of test.

Dowload the book "tor and the dark art of anonymity".

If you can take the time to comprhend it you will be opened up to a whole new world.

Right now this post is being passed through several national security databases and search programs searching for keywords such as "Tor" and "NSA".

Our browsers are fingerprinted and you can count on the fact that you have a tag along on tor. However bad you think big brother is it is much worse.

I haven't used it for any gear but I do use TOR extensively. I've never once visited the BOP website except via TOR (I'm paranoid like that). I usually try other methods to buy stuff discretely because some of TOR's security precautions (limiting use of scripting, not storing cookies, etc) make it difficult to impossible to do a secure check-out.

And no, TOR was not created for xxxxxxxx porn. It was created by DARPA so people living under oppressive regimes could bypass local web surfing restrictions and access the greater world wide web.

DARPA can do that because they invented the Internet (suck a nut, Algore!). And the cell phone (gallium arsenide). And NASA. Stealth planes. Siri. GPS. Self-driving cars. And Windows (before Microsoft stole it from Apple bought it from Xerox). And UNIX (which begat Linux and Apple OSX and iOS).

And NOT all VPN's are safe. You have to make sure there are no WebRTC IP leaks as well.

Everyone with a VPN can see if there VPN is leaking the original IP address here

ip8 - IP Lookup Tool (https://ip8.com/)

I normally google “ what’s my IP address “
It provides me with the location of where in accessing the internet from

I use Nord VPN and generally only connect to internet through a European server or anywhere outside US

So far so good and NORD has some good reviews and product info out there

It was like 80$ for the year also which isn’t bad at all

This Ip8.com site won’t load my IP address
Guessing that’s good ? Bc it Canf find it ?

When I turn VPN off if easily tracks my location within seconds

Damn metadata.

‘Anonymous’ Users Can Be Pinpointed on Twitter with 96.7% Accuracy
Even if you think you’re browsing Twitter “anonymously,” machine learning algorithms can still pinpoint you in a crowd of 10,000 other users using metadata associated with your posts, according to a new study (https://www.ucl.ac.uk/~ucfamus/papers/icwsm18.pdf). “Metadata” refers to data about other data. In the context of a Twitter post, this includes the date and time of the post, the number of characters in it, the device it was posted from, its grammatical style, the location it was posted from, and a host of other markers. The average tweet contains about 144 pieces of metadata.

Using machine learning, researchers at University College London and the Turing Institute have developed a method of identifying individual users with 96.7 accuracy using metadata alone. Even if your handle is “LibPwner2016,” the metadata can still reveal who you are. And most of that metadata is accessible through Twitter’s API....

*When I’m really trying to lay low or do any pen testing I’ll always run a live os (Ubuntu or kali) from a bootable flash drive. There are free vpn’s out there that work well especially if you are comfortable using a terminal and take other steps to remain anonymous. Changing your dns server is always a good option too and is easily done. Any home network (LAN) typically has a gateway address of 192.168.1.1 or 10.0.0.1. Type the gateway address in the url bar and it will take you to your router interface. There will be an option in there to change your dns. 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 are public google dns server. All depends on how quiet you want to be.

although I 100% agree with born. Don’t think the feds are too worried about someone buying a few bottles of test.
