Alright guys I’m officially starting my 12 week meet prep log. Over the course of the next 12 weeks I will document my training, nutrition, supps and cycle. Any questions you guys have feel free to shoot them my way and I’ll answer the best I can. Each week I’ll be posting my prescribed lifts for the week and as the week goes along I’ll update on those workouts go.

As of right now I’m finishing up my 4th week of my blast. Tomorrow starts week 5 which means I get to add tren ace into the mix. It’s been 3 years since I’ve used tren to I’m excited to see the effects again. Here is my cycle:

Test E 500mg/wk. (weeks 1-16)
Tren A 600mg/wk. (Weeks 5-16)
Halo 10-40mg ED. Increase 10 each week. (Weeks 13-16)
Tbol 25mg ED. (Weeks 13-14)
Tbol 50mg ED. (Week 15-16)
Aromasin 25mg (E3D) (Weeks 1-18)
Caber .25mg (As needed) (Weeks 5-16)
I take all my injectables every day so I can keep my blood levels as even as possible.

My training split will be:
Monday- heavy squats, accessory deads
Wednesday- heavy bench & accessories
Friday - heavy deads, accessory squat
Saturday - light bench & accessories

I am implementing mobility work 10min before and after each workout and also hitting mobility hard on my off days to hopefully stay injury free.

My nutrition is pretty consistent year round, but I add extra intra-workout carbs on training days. I sit around 3200 calories but I will increase as needed to support my training volume. I will likely get up to 4000cal. I am currently sitting right around 220lb and compete in the 220lb class so I’m not trying to gain much weight if any. Cutting weight for a meet really cuts into my lifts.

I am also a competitive PL I compete in the 93kg class I cut around 12 lbs of water to make weight. This will be a great log subbed in. What are your current PRs in training and in comp are you geared lifting or raw? Kill this shit droid!!

I gotta say anyone who doesn't know Droid is missing out. Things have slowed just enough for me to now spend a few minutes hanging with my fellow BOP'rs, which I've missed greatly, and after talking with Droid and getting to know him he's a really great guy and I'm really looking forward to getting to know him better.

He helped me finally make a decision on a new approach I'd been considering to train my front delts and I really like what I'm seeing so far from Droid.

Much love and respect homie. Now be careful with that Halo. Vic's Halo is lit bro. I'm dosing it at 20mg with 25mg Dbol for pwo only and I literally could go on a rampage at the gym. It's an intense stack. Now I've done it at 40mg as a stand alone and it wasn't as intense as half the mg and stacked with Dbol. I've found that timing is critical with this Halo too. There's definitely a window wherein your mental focus is peaked. IMO it is all about the mental edge and rage that helps me push more weight. IMO it's a very different oral that what I was accustomed to and takes some time to dial in. I dose it on an empty stomach which is different than for example how I dose Adrol. I've also noticed that when I was on Tren Halo didn't yield the same level of intensity.

Last meet was in November and I cut about 15lbs. My lifts definitely suffered so I’m trying to avoid it if possible this time around.

Current PRs from my last meet are:
Squat - 584
Bench - 384
Deadlift - 639

My training is based of 5RM for each lift. My 5RM for each lift are up at least 30lbs each from last prep so I expect 100lbs on my total. Goals are 425 bench, 625 squat and 700 dead. I lift raw also in sleeves only.

Thanks for the kind words Riggs! I’m definitely excited to try this Halo out as it’s the first time I’ve been able to incorporate it into my training prep. Will keep you and everyone else up to date when I add that in.

Alright guys just got my first weeks training sent to me. The first week is spent mostly hitting the main 3 lifts hard and establishing baseline weights for all the accessories.

For those unfamiliar, when it says 2/fail on these programs it is telling me to leave 2 reps in the tank on the first sets but on the last set I will go to failure. Same will apply down the road with 1/fail (1 in the tank; last set to failure). This correlates to the RPE (rate of perceived exertion) chart that I will post up as well.

My coach has a spot for me on the program to give my failure set results and also an indicator of how the exercise felt as a whole. This is on a scale of -1(felt like shit or hurt),0(was just “okay),+1(felt great).

Ignore anything over RPE 10. I won’t be using this in powerlifting prep. This is great for forced reps and extended sets in volume hypertrophy work though.

I wanted to mention another thing about this prep. My wife will be training and competing at this meet with me. I love that we can do this together and she’s got a real talent for it. Last year was her first meet and she totaled over 900 and set 2 state records in her federation and weight class. I’m super excited to see where she’ll be this year. Coach thinks she’ll smoke a 1000lb total for sure.

If anyone is interested in the female side of powerlifting training, I can post her training program along with mine and share some of her experiences as well. Just let me know and I’ll add that in.

Alright boys and girls. Long post so bear with me. I’ll summarize my supps and nutrition so I won’t have to do it every day. I’ll plan on doing this every Monday just to keep it fresh.

I inject everything daily. So pinning schedule will be the same from here on out.

-Turmeric

I have pretty high liver enzymes and family history of cholesterol issues so that is the reason for so many supps for now.

My nutrition will be fairly similar day to day. I’m not too worried about it unless I start gaining a lot of weight. If that happens I’ll dial it in and keep everything tight. With the hgh and tren I should be able to cut some bf while increasing strength pretty dramatically. I will document my diet the last 4 weeks along with any water weight cut I need to do (hoping to not need to do this).

Felt great today. Up at 4:30am as usual, had a solid day at work and home by 2:30pm. Gym at 3:30 for my first heavy leg session. Light mobility work with a lacrosse ball on the upper glutes and some stretching. I don’t usually do high bar squats so this was challenging.

High bar squats @ 470lb for sets of 3,3,5.
Leg press up to 8RM with 810lb on sled.
Sumo deads 3x3 @370lb.
Decline sit-ups with 65lb weight for 10RM
Ham curls 130lb for 10RM

Overall a solid workout. Feels great to be back under some heavy weight. Time for some dinner and my shots. Hope everyone had a great day!

It’s cool also because last year she started competing in powerlifting meets. Nice to see crossovers like that.

Bench felt great today. A little joint pain in the elbows but nothing a bit of NPP won’t fix up in a week or so. Mobility work before and after chest days are really important to me as I get tight very quickly if I don’t utilize stretching. I’ll post up the programs I use tomorrow when I get to my computer.

Pause bench @330lb 3 sets of 4,4,6
Incline DB up to 115lb for 8RM
Bent over Barbell row up to 315lb for 8RM
V-bar pushdowns 4x10 at 110lb
Side bends 110lb for 12RM

Time to MEAL and shower before we hit the local country fair. The wife loves that shit lol

Nah Droid. Pigs are very smart. When my kids were in school, they used to show goats and pigs. We still have one of the goats. She’s been a family pet for 7 years. The hog we had took a little while but he would come up to the fence and just wanted to be scratched behind the ears. He loved getting a washed down with the water hose too. They don’t have to get in the mud.

Alright guys I’m officially starting my 12 week meet prep log. Over the course of the next 12 weeks I will document my training, nutrition, supps and cycle. Any questions you guys have feel free to shoot them my way and I’ll answer the best I can. Each week I’ll be posting my prescribed lifts for the week and as the week goes along I’ll update on those workouts go.

As of right now I’m finishing up my 4th week of my blast. Tomorrow starts week 5 which means I get to add tren ace into the mix. It’s been 3 years since I’ve used tren to I’m excited to see the effects again. Here is my cycle:

Test E 500mg/wk. (weeks 1-16)
Tren A 600mg/wk. (Weeks 5-16)
Halo 10-40mg ED. Increase 10 each week. (Weeks 13-16)
Tbol 25mg ED. (Weeks 13-14)
Tbol 50mg ED. (Week 15-16)
Aromasin 25mg (E3D) (Weeks 1-18)
Caber .25mg (As needed) (Weeks 5-16)
I take all my injectables every day so I can keep my blood levels as even as possible.

My training split will be:
Monday- heavy squats, accessory deads
Wednesday- heavy bench & accessories
Friday - heavy deads, accessory squat
Saturday - light bench & accessories

I am implementing mobility work 10min before and after each workout and also hitting mobility hard on my off days to hopefully stay injury free.

My nutrition is pretty consistent year round, but I add extra intra-workout carbs on training days. I sit around 3200 calories but I will increase as needed to support my training volume. I will likely get up to 4000cal. I am currently sitting right around 220lb and compete in the 220lb class so I’m not trying to gain much weight if any. Cutting weight for a meet really cuts into my lifts.

I’m completely wrecked from this first week already. Switching back to lifting heavy is always rough at the beginning bc I put my muscles to work like they haven’t done in a while. This is the first time I’ve been on HGH during a powerlifting prep so I’m hoping it will help with recovery and injury prevention.

Man I haven’t been able to do OH press in about a year due to shoulder issues and I’m feeling 100% finally. Hoping to really push that number up the next 11 weeks. Really helps a lot to increase your bench.

Also something most people don’t know or think about.. if you’re trying to make a muscle group stronger, you’ve gotta work the antagonist muscle as well. That’s why I’ve got a nice amount of back work. Most assume it’s for deads but it’s mostly for bench press.

It’s heavy leg day again boys and girls. Been a long day off work running errands and getting a new tattoo. Gonna need to pump myself up to bang this leg day out. I also HATE being at the gym at prime time. Luckily nobody uses the mono lift at my gym except for my wife and me. Here’s the schedule for this week. Pleased with how heavy coach is having me go on deadlifts and squats so early in prep. High hopes for a monster total in 11 weeks.

Droid my man you got it figured the fuck out Bro...I LOVE ME anything peanut butter and chocolate. When I take my ***** at night to sleep I crave Chocolate covered gummy bears. Brutal workout. But I’m feeling very strong for this early in prep. Can definitely feel the added strength from Tren already. Upping the dose today to .85ml ED to hit 600mg/wk.

Squat 495lb for 4x3
Leg press 750lb for 3x12
Deadlift 395lb for 3x3
Sit-ups 3x12
Ham curls 4x15

Good morning BOP! So I gotta admit switching back to powerlifting prep is fucking me up. I’m used to working out 6 days a week. When I’m on prep I’m only allowed 4 days a week... mon, wed, fri, sat. I need more recovery time when I’m pushing heavy weight with progressive overload every workout. My first prep I tried to train other body parts and that was a BAAAAD idea. Injuries left and right.

Heavy bench day today. Feeling good about it. Mobility work has kept me loose and pain free so far.

She’s ramping up slowly waiting for the var to kick in. She’s taking flash labs 10mg daily for a few weeks before possibly bumping it up depends on sides and how she feels. I FINALLY convinced her to jump on the HGH train. She started 1iu/day on Monday. I will keep her there for 3-4 weeks before moving to 2iu then leave her there. Anyone have much experience with females and hgh? Time frame for noticeable results?

You should find a doc who does ART! Clears up tennis elbow pretty well! I can usually get my patients close to 100% in 3-4 weeks.

It’s another beautiful Friday BOP. What’s everyone up to today? Plans for the weekend? It’s my favorite day of the week. Not because it’s the last day of the workweek... it’s not for me. ITS DEADLIFT DAY.

Feeling strong and man this tren is no joke. This is my first time I’ve run tren at a higher dose than test and I love it. Used to always use 2:1 test to Tren ratio but I like this much better.

Goal for today is 540lb for 7 on my fail set. Might need to bring some ammonia for this one

No, but I know what you’re talking about. I have a buddy who actually strained a neck muscle doing heavy dead. Neutral spine and neutral neck will really help with that. That pain is from muscle strain so if you can keep it more relaxed it’ll definitely help.

Sorry I was MIA this weekend! Strep hit me HARD Friday night and I was pretty much out of commission Saturday and Sunday. Back at it full force today! About to head over and get 6 week bloodwork pulled. Coach told me I’m so far ahead of where I was last prep “it’s kinda scary” so I’m feeling good. He’s gonna be pushing me hard I can already tell. 5 working sets on all the major lifts and most accessories. Gonna be a draining week.

Just demolished my leg workout. Also, the leg workout demolished me. Coach bumped up the volume this whole week so everyday is going to be taxing. Mentally and physically drained after this training session. Think I’ll go Ice my knees and relax out back by the pool the rest of the day.

I gotta say, I dig that. And it was definitely one of those days. First run on phen yesterday had a brotha up all night and still made it in to a killer leg day.

Picked up some digestive enzymes and hoping this will help. I’m assuming it’s the tren as it’s the highest I’ve ever gone on it.

Missed my post yesterday so I’ll double up today. It’s been a long exhausting week and I’m officially on my deload. Had a killer deadlift workout last night and hit a huge rep PR on sumo. Today’s accessory bench workout was a surprisingly solid lift.

Saturday:

I’m going to be incredibly bored next week doing half weight and half reps but I know it’s necessary for recovery and strength increase. I will come back much stronger in 2 weeks.

So this week is deload week. While this may look boring it is a much needed part in not only strength training but also hypertrophy based training. Your body can only take so much of a beating before it stops responding. The idea behind a deload is to give the body a chance for some active recovery. That typically means you’re going to do half the weight for about half the reps. Throughout my deload leg workout yesterday I could feel my muscles slowly react to the lower weight and loosen up. I was in the gym for less than 30 min then back home for my usual mobility work.

Typically one week will do it. Some need less than that. It all depends on the volume you’ve been doing and for how long. During hypertrophy phases I like to do a half week deload every 8 weeks or so. Or when my body tells me it’s time.

Any experience with elbow joint pain while benching? I’ve been having this issue lately...I believe it started toward the end of my cycle while running winny/var.

Once I get to about 70-80% max, toward the 5-8 rep mark my left (sometimes right) elbow feels like it’s just gonna fuckin give out right as I’m about to lock out. I’m not sure I’d call it tennis/golfers elbow either, it feels like deep joint but possibly the brachioradialis...about to order some mobility shit off amazon and I guess maybe start having to use elbow sleeves

It really depends on what elbow pain you’re talking about man. Different pain will call for different adjustments. I typically get elbow pain directly on my elbow. And I find that doing a few light warmup sets with triceps rope push downs helps get the elbows greased and ready to go. If you’ve got brachioradialis pain your best bet is doing rotator cuff mobility work. From what I’ve seen the majority of biceps tendinitis/ brachioradialis pain is caused by tight rotator cuffs. Obviously heavy pressing is going to make that even worse without mobility work.

That being said I have some slingshot elbow cuffs that I use when my elbow pain is unavoidable. And I plan to purchase some slingshot brand elbow sleeves in the next week or so bc I need new knee sleeves as well.

I know what you mean man. I haven’t ever used the elbow sleeves but have had great luck with the cuffs. Just make sure you get the right size. I had to return 2 of them

They measure pretty accurate to size. I got the red ones I’m not sure what they were called. The black cuffs had way too much give that’s why I had to send them back.

Best thing for elbows is to see a myo and get some dry needling done. If possible lay of low bar squat or try place the bar higher I've found. Sleeves or cuffs just mask the problem , if you can't wear them in the meet why train with them?

Well my theory on this is I’d rather use cuffs/sleeves occasionally not as a crutch but just as compression to avoid pain. If I can’t train because of elbow pain/ bicep tendinitis then I can’t compete at my best. Yes, I can’t use those things in a meet but if it helps me push through the aches and pains of consistent heavy training I’m going to use all the tools I can. I don’t use them all the time and I don’t use them in my peak weeks.

Almost done with this deload week and I’m feeling incredible. Energy has increased and no tight muscles. I’ve lost a few lbs this week due to the inactivity and some appetite issues on the tren but I think we’re past that and I can start loading food again. I think the traditional powerlifter mentality is to eat as much food and whatever food you want to provide energy for strength. I take a different approach. I eat the same general macro split year round but I change the carb amount and intake times to suit my goals. This prep is no different than others except for the addition of hgh and using tren at a higher dose than test. I’ve noticed that combo has ripped me up while still putting on a huge amount of strength.

This is the leanest I’ve been in a few years (probably since my BBing competition days) but I’m a solid 30lbs more than I was back then. Weight was 215.7 this morning... bf%? Who cares.

Great first day back after deload. Picked up some new knee sleeves last week and got to try them out. Not sure if I like them more than my old STRONG sleeves but I’ll give them a couple weeks. Everything felt nice and loose and all my lifts felt strong.

Squat 505lb x 4, 515lb x3, 525lb x4 (should have been 5 but came forward on 4th rep and almost lost the bar so called it after that)

I have used SBD and liked them. I prefer the STRONG sleeves bc of the seam on the outside instead of across the back of the sleeve. But he’s right ^ they definitely aren’t as durable. I have a feeling the x sleeves will hold up better though.

I liked both brands about the same. And I had the knee sleeves for about 2 years of pretty hard training before they fell apart and I had to pick up these X sleeves

I picked up the cheap “Stoic” elbow compression cuffs off amazon because of how long Rogue takes to send stuff. Benched last night with them, elbows felt much better though I could tell the pain was there, just muted a bit.


What app / program is this?

One of my favorite apps to use is Iron Pro, currently tracking madcow 5x5 with it, but previous to this plan I would make all my own workout templates with it. Strongur also looks decent but I always go back to iron pro

Results are in... these STRONG elbow sleeves are incredible!! I was able to really push through this heavy bench workout with very minimal discomfort. Usually when I start getting to this weight my bicep tendinitis is almost unbearable and I can’t actually push to failure without my elbows giving out first. Today I warmed up without the sleeves on and put them on for my working sets. They are not terribly tight so they are comfortable to wear the entire workout.

Bench 355x3, 365x2, 375x3
Incline DB 120lb for 8,8,11
Barbell row 340lb for 6,6,11
V-bar pushdowns
Side raises

I will get with the wifey in a bit to get her program for the week and her numbers from Monday and today. She’s killing it compared to last prep.

It really depends on what elbow pain you’re talking about man. Different pain will call for different adjustments. I typically get elbow pain directly on my elbow. And I find that doing a few light warmup sets with triceps rope push downs helps get the elbows greased and ready to go. If you’ve got brachioradialis pain your best bet is doing rotator cuff mobility work. From what I’ve seen the majority of biceps tendinitis/ brachioradialis pain is caused by tight rotator cuffs. Obviously heavy pressing is going to make that even worse without mobility work.

That being said I have some slingshot elbow cuffs that I use when my elbow pain is unavoidable. And I plan to purchase some slingshot brand elbow sleeves in the next week or so bc I need new knee sleeves as well.

I highly recommend the STRONG sleeves if you’re having any sort of issues with the elbow or surrounding areas. Great compression without being uncomfortably tight.

So... lots of carbs right before bed = TRENSOMNIA. I typically don’t eat many carbs before bed but I went out for a late sushi dinner tonight and plowed down a few rolls with a big side of fried rice. I haven’t had much trensomnia at all this cycle but tonight I doubt I’ll sleep much at all.

I haven’t been taking it recently bc all my tendinitis issues have been great. The elbow pain isn’t tendon pain it’s more actual joint pain. The tendinitis I was taking the bpc for has pretty much disappeared

Program for this week. 5 weeks out from my meet. Pretty stoked about these numbers. Last meet my max bench was 386lb and he’s got me doing 3 doubles at that weight Wednesday. My max at that same meet for deadlifts was 639lb and I’ll be doing 4 doubles at 635 Friday. At this rate I’ll be opening at my previous meet PRs!

Oh they’re great! I’d recommend starting with something like these from amazon. They aren’t as strong and they’re easy to just crack, sniff and toss it before a lift. I use them occasionally through prep since they aren’t as strong.

Bicep tendon pain was flaring up today during bench so that limited my training. Played with a wider grip than usual and that seemed to help so I will stick with that and see if it continues to help. Skipped my scheduled incline press to avoid any added stress to the tendon. Will be injecting 500mcg BPC-157 twice daily near each bicep tendon for the next week or 2 and see if that helps.

Hit my accessory bench day today instead of yesterday. Had a super busy day yesterday and didn’t want to have to rush the workout. Everything felt surprisingly good today considering my elbow pain from Wednesday’s bench workout. I’ve been using the BPC-157 since Wednesday so maybe that’s helped already. Program for this week. Starting to get into the peak phase with singles and doubles. Strength should increase pretty quickly over the next few weeks. Just got done with heavy squat day and it felt surprisingly good. Had a very small breakfast so being able to hit all my lifts with minimal struggle is a good sign. Math was hard today and instead of 555lb the first set I accidentally did 545x2. Added a 4th working set to hit all my prescribed lifts.

Squats 545x2 (oops) then 555lb for 3x2
Leg press 865lb for 8,8,12
Sumo deads 485lb for 3x3
Sit-ups
Ham curls

Got the BPC and some GMP black tops on the way [emoji106] gonna lay off the bench and hopefully be as good as new once January rolls around...that Gamma Bomb program is gonna destroy me I already know it...excited tho.

Only the owner man. Haydn Schneider has a MONSTER bench. His max is 540 apparently. But he’s about my size and I’d get him on squats and for sure deads lol.

Heavy bench day. Had a great workout. Working with a bit wider grip on bench now to help take the pressure off my elbows. Worked up to 3 singles at what looks to be my opener. No elbow sleeves the first 2 sets and felt good. No pain at all first set and totally manageable irritation the second. Threw on sleeves for the third set just to ensure I didn’t irritate them more than necessary. Everything moved well. Wider grip isn’t as strong for me so it’s slower and has less power. Transitioning into the peak portion of prep so coach changed up some accessories. 3 second pause bench is fantastic for building strength and speed out of the bottom of the movement. No sleeves and these felt amazing. My chest will be wrecked from those tomorrow.

Comp bench 385lb for 3x1 with commands
3sec pause bench 335lb for 3x3
Barbell rows 340lb for 8,8,12
V-bar pushdowns
Side raises

Got some ace supplies in today. Pinned 500mcg of BCP next to the elbow using the chip clip like you said.

Should I go lower doses? Twice a day?

For those who may not know (me). What exactly is a comp bench? I have tried to look it up.

And I may me only sort of joking when I say one day I hope to be as strong as your wife. Those are fantastic numbers.

Competition bench. Just like saying comp squat or comp deadlift, it’s the stance or grip you’ll use during your competition. Definitely a good question!!

Haha man you should see the way the guys in my gym look at my wife. Jaw drops lol she’s really strong and she’s just a natural. This is only her second meet prep and she will hit over 1000lb total in the 165lb weight class.

Thanks man! I’m glad anyone can take away some info from this log. That’s why I’m doing it.

I actually did comp bench “with commands” is what we call it. Basically mimicking what we’ll do at the meet. Have the wife say “bench” “press” and “rack”. We try to extend the pause a little bit to prepare for a potential long pause from the judges during a meet. It’s all about preparing for worst case. Squats for instance, we ALWAYS make sure we hit depth enough so that nobody could mistake it as a high squat. We try to prepare to avoid being red lighted for simple mistakes.

Just finished a very unexpected deadlift session. Program called for singles at 635lb and moving up by 5lb each set if the weight moved well. Well I’ve been fighting being sick since Sunday so I’ll blame that. 635 just did not want to lock out again this week. So I got pissed off and said fuck it I’ll pull it conventional. SMOKED IT. Moved to 645 and nailed that for a 5lb PR. Then 655 for another PR. This is the first time I’ve conventional deadlifted since last November at my meet. I’m pretty stoked about it. I stay away from conventional bc it takes a toll on my lower back pretty quickly but I figure I can make it 3 more deadlift sessions and the meet.

Conventional deads 635x1, 645x1, 655x1
SSB good mornings 315lb for 6,6,10
Pause squats 455lb for 3,3,5
Side bends
Leg extensions


Wife was feeling really sick today so she’s skipping deads and will knock them out tomorrow.

Great accessory bench day today. Elbows feeling much better, weight is moving well and recovery seems to be increasing. I forgot how sore heavy conventional deadlifting makes me though. Sumo really distributes the soreness evenly but when I conventional deadlift my hams and posterior chain are crazy sore. I’ve missed it!

Well it’s good to be back on after that little issue. A few updates: got my giant lab free samples of hgh in and will run serum on those tomorrow after work. Placed an order with Pompeyo to try the 50iu bottles since they’re CHEAP this month on sale. Had a long and eventful weekend celebrating a friends birthday out of town. Unfortunately that limited my sleep and made mondays leg workout pretty rough. Played it safe and skipped my last set of doubles for squats.
