Looking at filter systems to start off how much oil can you put thru a syringe filter or should I just get a bottle top filter?

I've usually been able to get 30 to 40 ml's through one filter. B some have said you can get more, but that's what I've been able to do

I've done 2 brews, each 100ml each. It was a pain in the ass tbh. If you are planning on doing more brews after this one, getting the bottle top would save time and energy

Sent from my SM-G950W using TapatalkPretty sure it can if you invest in a quality bottle top filter. Think it's just getting the filter papers after that

Someone recommended Autofil vacuum filters to me. Pricey, but I I'm sure it's worth it

Yeah ive heard the autofil system brought up quite a bit.

Actually i think there's a thread in the home brew area yhat had links someone posts showing various different items they use.

And the bottle vaccuum system was some of what was listed

Ive always heard .22 or .2 for filtering.

I have heard that some labs or personal home brewers will do 2 filtrations.

First filtration with .45 and second with .22

I've tried different systems and the best one hands down Whatman Zapcap disposable filter .2 and a glass media bottle.. Then for vacuum pump go to the auto parts and get it and you wont use whatman syringe filters ever in your life [emoji817][emoji817]

Yeah disposable is the way to go.... It's a little expensive 13$ a piece but you can filter up to 500ml no problem very fast no leaking very but very reliable u will love it

I was using pre sterilized bottle tops but now decided to go with glassware one. More healthly, cheaper(if you do big batches). I use syringe filters for test batches. Avarage syringe filter will stuck after 30ml.

Not trying to hijack thread but....do the glass media bottles have a "standard" size that the zapcaps fit on do I need to look foe a specific size?

Mostly proper for GL45 but I have seen different ones too It was 33mm diameter merck millipore pre sterilized bottle tops. If it isnt mentioned %99 proper for GL45

Are there any plastic bottles that can withstand the vacuum/pressure that's needed to filter oil without cracking?

Not trying to be a smart ass, but why take a risk with plastic?
