I recently competed in a PL meet for the first time in 20 years. I was in the 55-60 yr old class weighing in at 265 i think, or somewhere around there.
Came in 2nd in my class with a 1975 total.
Bench was 555lbs
Squat was 745lbs
Dead was 675lbs.
Tried a 750 dead for the win but bar began to slip and I was busted for pausing on my thighs.
The following week entered a bench only comp and won my class with a 545lb bench.
Now two weeks later I'm still sore!

Gonna be taking the plunge again here in a few more months myself.
Wanted the natties this month but it's not gonna happen, but I'm looking at the state championships in May...who know nut I will be getting my ass up and competing again.
Or else GDL (my boss) is gonna kick my ass if I don't go and represent, lol.!!!!

I was shooting for a 2000lb total.
But I still came in 2nd place in the overall raw class.
It got me an invite to the masters grand nationals later this year.
But to be honest, it took such a toll on my bnody I don't know if I've got it in me to do it again this year. The old dog just doesn't recover like he used to, you know?

Awesome work and that's motivating enough for me to get my ass in gear and still I'm kinda weak also I'm near 50 I'm not as agile as I used to be

Good job and kill it at the nationals and give BOP a rep
