What method of filtration would be the most effective/efficient way to filter 5 gallons of each oil? I’ve got a Welch vacuum pump on the way. Just needing info on what filter setup to use for such a large amount of oil. I plan on using PES filters (.8um then .22um pore sizes) of some sort since there will be no solvents involved.

Any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

You guys are the best!!

Also, why filter just the oil? The finished product still has to be filtered.

After further research, I plan on using PES VacuCaps and a 45L/hour vacuum pump.

Keep us posted bud I honestly would go nuts trying what you doing. From what I've learned filtering for me is the most complicated part of brewing. I always double filter my gear.

Just for the record coconut oil is my choice of oil when it comes to filtering. Seems to filter easier then most

I will definitely keep everyone in the loop. I’ll post pics and maybe some video.

You need a peristalic pump can filter in mins not hours.

Or tell us why exactly you are doing this we can help push you in the right direction.

Man with those amounts is clear. Peristaltic pump and whatman capsule filters. Regarding which pump you can have an output of 3-5liter/h

I’m filtering MCT oil with a 0.45um filter then a 0.22um filter. There will be no solvents or gear in it; just oil.
