View Full Version : Pinzhead unsponsored Ace Labs Test/EQ log

So, this is WAS a contest log, however, due to unforeseen circumstances, this is now become a log of ACE LABS Equipoise and testosterone enanthate.
I had some ACE LABS equipoise and testosterone enanthate from last year that I was going to run. BONES was kind enough to replace the old batch with a new batch a couple weeks ago just as I was starting a blast in prep for the contest.
Because of the kindness and generosity of ACE LABS, I thought I would at least have my log reopened and log his products.

About me: 42yo but pushing 43 soon
Weight: 217 (at the time of the original posting, see current posts for updated weight)
Height 5'9

Dirty bulked for about 8 to 10 weeks and it shows in the pics. Look sloppy and felt like crap.
I've had 2 surgeries in the last 18 months to fix hiatal hernias and another procedure to fix severe GERD and regurgitation. Both failed. Just finished up some testing a week ago to be told I'd likely need another surgery, this time open abdominal.
I was using the contest as motivation to get my eating in check over the next 5 months before I schedule the surgery. I want to be in the best shape I can be to hopefully allow for a good recovery.
The surgery will also put me out of the gym for a good 3 to 5 months so I want to be in the right position, both mentally and physically to maintain a solid diet and physique.

I originally wanted to get as disgustingly ripped as I could, having had Primemuscle help lay out a cycle for me comprised of EQ, TEST, to start, and the addition of TREN and MASTERON added later on. Because the contest is no longer happening, I'm not going to use TREN or MASTERON. I would be using another sponsor's TREN and MASTERON and as stated, wanted to highlight ACE LABS products that I have.

At the original start date of this log, I was on TRT at 150mg test enanthate a week. I started my blast on MARCH 4th.

To only use ACE LABS, I will run a 10 weeks of ACE TEST ENANTHATE and 10 weeks of EQUIPOISE. Since I have 2 vials of the old batch of and 3 of the new for the EQ, I front loaded the EQ at 1500 x 2 weeks. Cycle will be this :

Weeks 1-2:
Test enanthate 500mg/wk
EQ 1500mg/wk

Weeks 3-until everything runs out:
Test enanthate 500mg/wk
EQ 750mg/wk

15 ish' yrs ago working nights turned me in to a damn alcoholic. I was so fucking lonely and absolutely hated being on the opposite schedule as my family. I worked 12 a.m. to 8 a.m. and came home to a newborn and a 3yr old.

3 hours of sleep today, 4 cups of coffee and off to Disney with the fam. No workout today.

Took a bit to wake up, but being half asleep while around so many people makes it easier for me to tolerate. Diet on point despite the temptations of food at Disney..

I like feeling in control of my eating that's for sure.

2/25/19

Notes: starting IF is always a bit of a challenge. Getting used to not eating and having to drink black coffee in the morning takes a few days.

I also went to a Chipotle type restaurant today for lunch. I always hate eating out when I'm dieting. Makes it hard to calculate calories. They don't have caloric break-down on my fitness pal or online so I guesstimate on it. I usually over estimate just to be safe.

Chipotle or food of that sort is soo good Pinz. love it!

Some ppl can get away with eating out and hitting their goals. My metabolism isn’t at that level nor my restriction of what to choose to eat. Good on ya brother for making it work out.

Intermittent fasting can work wonders but I’ve tried it on a bulk and I go backwards. I’m just not one of these guys that make it work. Hats to u for doin it dude. Those hunger pains are a biatch as first Especially on gear.

PopeyeYeah, you'll notice that I eat foods that aren't on a normal diet.
I just finished eating 3 McDonald's double hamburgers. 1 bun with 6 patties.
Kind of an IIFYM diet. I still keep my calories in where they need to to be.
I'll tighten it up as it gets closer to the end.

I've never done IF on a bulk. I don't think I could stomach that many calories in 8 hours.

Agreed fully. I gotta have some food food sometimes and I know I gotta eat out at times. Before I started lean mix I was fasting through the night into the morning for 12-16hrs. I enjoyed it but I wasn’t working too hard in the gym.

Good luck man. I’ll be dropping back by for some insight.

If I wasn't doing this transformation challenge, then yes, I'd be taking more time off. I'll take Sunday off since thats the day I always go to Disney with my family.

Not really concerned about the cardio. Its really low intensity. I don't run, only walking. Most I'll do is bump up the incline on a treadmill, but I rarely go over 3.5mph.
I like to walk outside most of the time. So then my speed will be closer to 4 mph according to my GPS, but it's all flat where I walk, so again, really low intensity.

I actually, from trial and error seem to hold on to muscle better doing low intensity cardio vs. Jogging/running..

No workout today either.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190304/07bafb14dfbcd4231f4ee97e04904d59.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190304/7b6ac0d909ae7d6b58d5b7b6042ecd75.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190304/0d7595f3014bce9855334d0b909f1006.jpg

Day 11
3/4/19
-
Notes:
Exhausted today. Thought for sure I'd sleep half the day away, but I ended up only napping this afternoon for about 30 minutes.
Fasted for 16 hours.
Worked out fasted, both my cardio and my chest work out. Despite being in a fasted state, felt pretty strong.
Myfitnesspal app adds the calories you burn to your allotted calories to eat. I don't normally like to add extra calories based on that, but I did eat a couple hundred extra today. I feel like weight is coming off fairly quickly. Considering I've technically got a little over 12 weeks to go, I need to have a little slower weight loss to maintain as much muscle as I can. Obviously getting back on a blast will help, but I can still slow it down a bit until then.
-

Work out:
Chest
-incline DB press x 5 sets
-(I was watching a Dave Palumbo video and he was interviewing John Meadows. He was talking about using just a slight incline when doing incline presses. I've since incorporated that and noticed a lot less shoulder involvement and now feel the movement more in my chest.)
-Machine flyes x 3 followed by 3 drop sets
-Machine chest press x 4
-
LISS cardio on the treadmill x 30 minutes.
-I keep the speed at 3 to 3.3mph, start at an incline of 3,and steadily increase the incline by 0.5 every 2 minutes.

So I worked the last 3 nights. Got home this morning, slept 2 hours then got up and went to Disney with my family. No working out today. Just a lot of walking over 4 hours.

Tomorrow will be a back day. Will update diet and exercise tomorrow to get this thing going again.

I will say, although I don't see it and think I look like shit, I had a Disney security guard shake my hand, point at my arms and jokingly tell me promises not to cross me. Then on the way to my car a guy shook my hand and said seeing me made him feel inspired to work out.

I wish I could see what they see. I look at myself and think how bad I look, see all my flaws, and never feel big or lean enough.

Either way though they were nice compliments.

Anyway, here is a pic of me from March 8th. Just a few days after starting cycle. I had already been intermittent fasting for a week or 2 as well https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190318/edfe8fdd03440842e675063627e32415.jpg

Pretty tired today, nothing unusual though considering I feel like that every Monday. Got up, took kids to school, came home and slept till 1230.

-Seated close grip rows x 4

Cardio x 30 minutes LISS

Diet:

As stated on an earlier posting, I'm kind of just doing an IIFYM type diet. I keep my calories at approximately 2400. I may drop that, starting tomorrow for 2 weeks to 2100 per day.

After that, may just do a recomp for the remainder of the cycle. Never done a recomp before and I'm interested to see what results that will bring.

I'm only going to post up my Macros for the day each day.

196 protein
244 carbs
80 fat

Today was the opposite of yesterday. Didn't sleep well last night. I've been holding a lot of water for some reason and was up at least 5 times peeing. It would be hard to get back to sleep and I'd end up texting with my wife since she was working.

Ended up not lifting today. Will have to do the next 3 days in a row to get in shoulders, legs, and chest done.

Cardio was done today since I've just been doing all low intensity.

-

Training:

-no training today

Cardio x 1 hour and 30 minutes LISS

**so it seems a little excessive, amd originally all I did was 30 minutes this morning. My kids had martial arts this afternoon for an hour. It's really uncomfortable to sit inside so I just decided to go for a walk. Weather here is really nice so I ended up walking for an hour.

Slept till around 1130 this morning since I have to work tonight. Felt good after I got up. Training was good. Shoulders today. Incredible pump, but pretty painful at the same time. Had to hold my arms up while on the treadmill afterwards because they were burning so bad.

Had body fat checked on one of those scales. Those things are garbage lol. I've dropped about 10lbs in the last month, vascularity in my arms, abs starting to show, yet it says my BF is 23%. So according to the scale, I've lost muscle and gained fat in the last month.

-

Training:

-shoulders

**avoided any pressing movements. My right delt hurts and it's been hard to put my arms up in military press position.

-side lateral raises x 4 followed by 4 drop sets

-rear delts with dumbbells, bent over on bench x 4 with 3 drop sets

-front raises x 3

Slept for 3.5hrs today. Got up and felt pretty shitty. Body with a generalized achiness. Drank a bunch of black coffee and walked my dog to wake up.
Putzed around for a bit until I got the energy to go work out.
Got to the gym and chugged a Rockstar.

Training:
Chest(I don't normally do chest so close to my shoulder workout, but I didn't have it in me to train legs today)
**I decided to do things a little different today with my chest workout. Again, I was feel really achy and a bit sluggish. The thought of starting my workout was with heavier compound movements really made me not want a work out at all.
I decided to do what I consider secondary exercises. Plus my right delt is hurting, don't know if it's from scar tissue buildup or what, but its a little painful when I have my arms on certain positions.

-machine flyes x 4 with 4 drop sets
-BW dips x 4
-incline DB press x 3
-Machine flat press x 4

NOTES:

Slept about 4 hours today. Pretty much my norm for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Tomorrow will be less since it's Disney day with the family. I'll get about 2 1/2 or 3 hours.

Despite the lack of sleep today, training went well. I trained legs. I have no problem admitting, I HATE training legs lol. I think it goes back to my 1st year of college, 24 years ago, when I 1st really started working out. A friend of mine would have us train legs till I felt like puking, then going back to my dorm room, would literally have trouble walking up the stairs, sometimes having to sit down and scoot myself up the stairs.

I've been doing IF for the about the last month. Decided to stop IF for awhile, maybe only throwing the occasional fasting day in once a week or so.*

Food cravings are really BAD tonight. I definitely struggle with food addiction. I'm not the type that can just go eat a cookie and be done. I've literally eaten 52 Oreo cookies in less than an hour, eaten 28 mini cinnamon rolls in one sitting. packs of cookie dough, containers of ice cream, etc...I will eat till I'm sick sometimes.*

It's a struggle.* When the cravings get bad, it's literally all I think about. I have this constant internal battle with myself. One side telling me to just eat whatever and I'll be good tomorrow, that I earned it, that I did enough cardio and lifting to make up for it, etc.. The other side of course is the rational side, knowing that it's my addiction talking. Unfortunately, I frequently give in and binge eat.* I'm doing my best right now as I type this, and I'm hoping I make it through the night.

AAS NOTES:

Everything is going great with the cycle.* I feel stronger for sure. I've heard that EQ gives you endurance and increases appetite. I don't know if it's in my head, but my endurance does seem better. My appetite is always up, so I haven't noticed and increase in that respect.

I've dropped about 10lbs since I started this.* I feel like I'm fuller and leaner as well. Vascularity is improving in my arms and I just feel like I look better. Lot more comments from people lately as well, so that is a definite sign something is working right.

Training:

LEGS

-Hack squats x 5

-Lunges x 4

-Leg press x 4

-Leg extension x 3

-Hamstring curls x 3

-Stiff legged Deadlifts x 3

Disney, no training, just a lot of walking

Monday 3/25
Kids out for spring break, working out is going to be tricky but manageable. Today, only cardio. Had to get up, mow lawn, go to Costco, reorganize my pantry, get oil change, and going to have to clean my garage.
I took the opportunity to do my cardio while waiting for my oil to be changed.
Felts good today. Slept till about 815 this morning. Had a bout of GERD last night, gagging up stomach acid. Got up and had to take a tsp of baking soda.

AAS notes:
Still going good. No PIP, which is a nice change. I had a been using some homebrew NPP, MAST PROP, and TEST PROP, 100mg each per ml. Was almost debilitating at times if I didn't cut it with some filtered GSO.
ACE LABS Test and EQ have been pain free. I don't know if front loading made a difference, or if it is all in my head, but I do feel fuller and feel like I am more vascular. Very happy though with the product and how things are going. Really liking EQ as well.

Cardio: 42 min LISS

Diet: I'll hit my calories and my Macros. Day isn't over yet, so leaving this as is

Well, guess it was bound to happen at some point, as it seems it's all part of game we play ordering thses products, but looks as though I got scammed out of $150 and won't have my tren enanthate that I was expecting.

Anyway, today was going good up until I found that out lol. Drowning my self in some nutella sandwiches and whole milk. Calories probably not too fair over my daily maintenance, but when Im trying to lean up, not really the direction I want to go.

Had appointment with my surgeon today. Suggested putting off my nissen fundoplication surgery till next year and just trying to manage my symptoms with meds. Would likely have to be an open abdominal surgery if done now, but if I wait, may be able to do laproscopic. Too much scar tissue from previous 2 fundoplications.

Training:

-1 arm DB rows x 4
-close grip Lat pull downs x 4

Here is a current pic. I don't like the way I look. My midsection has always been the last area to lose fat. My ABS seemed to have suffered from the 2 surgeries I had as well.

Funny, after last night eating nutella sandwich, peanut butter sandwich, at least 3 cups of whole milk, 3 rice Krispy treats, 1 small bag of cheese doritos, 1 small bag of ranch doritos, a small bag of cheetos, a quarter loaf of chocolate chip banana bread with butter, and a bag of m&ms, my weight today is less than it was yesterday. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190327/57d45b5a793ffc17ddd6a0c623481e72.jpg

Was going to be an arm day, but I woke up and just below my right Tricep, the area running down to my elbow is painful to the touch. I can't really straighten my arm or flex my Tricep
Possibly from injection on Monday in my tri's, but usually not delayed like that. This doesn't hurt in the Tricep either. It's not red or warm, just hurts.
Needless to say, triceps were out of the picture. Instead trained shoulders and biceps.

Still peeved about getting scammed, but lesson learned I guess.

Training
-shoulders
DB military press x 4
Side lateral x 4
Rear delt machine flyes x 4
Front raises x 3
Upright rows x 3

-Biceps
Concentration curls x 3
Hammer curls x 3
Straight bar curls x 3
Seated machine curls x 3

Had to lay off working out yesterday and today. My left arm ended up swelling up from the bottom of the Tricep down to my mid forearm. I iced it, put a compression wrap on it while sleeping and have been taking ibuprofen. It's gotten better, but even my coworkers noticed it and asked if I was alright.

On another note, I had a dermatologist appointment Thursday. Had to have a biopsy done on my nose. Likely have skin cancer again. And yes, I use the word "again" as I've had it 3 previous times.

Sunscreen people.

Bumped my calories up to maintenence for a few days to get used to eating more food. Going to slightly bump them up again, maybe 500 above for the remainder of this cycle.

Finally got back to the gym today. Arm still hurts a little and is still slightly swollen, but overall is much better.
Trained chest and biceps.
I have been eating above maintenance the last 5 days or so. Weight was 211 today.
Not going to overdo it with eating this time to help keep my GERD symptoms away. Weight will go up slowly but that's ok if I'm keeping the fat gain at a minimum
I really don't like bulking. I like being lean. It amazes me though when I hear people talking about how they don't go above 8 to 10% BF. I struggle to get below 10% and I feel like I'm on a pretty strict diet just to get that lean.

Training:
Chest
-machine flat press x 4
-Machine flyes x 3
-incline DB press x 3
-decline barbell press x 3

Biceps
-hammer curls x 3
-Preacher curls x 3
-standong ezcurls x 3

Today was a rest day. I'm working tonight so I slept till the afternoon. I've realized that after 2 training days in a row, my body needs a day off. It's especially hard to try and work out that 3rd day when it lands on a work day.

My right arm is almost back to normal. It's still slightly tender to the touch just below the elbow and still has a bit of swelling.

I was at the gym yesterday and trying to get ready for a back workout. I was tired and just had a really blah feeling. Been emotionally run down, mostly from work. I don't particularly care for my job, but I've worked here almost 11 years, have amazing benefits that cover my entire family, and 2 nights out of the 3 I work, I get a 53% shift diff. The paid time off I accrue is topped out, I can carry over 400+ hours a year, the 401k percentage that they match is fantastic, so needless to say, I feel a bit stuck.

I was not in the mood to train back, but I had to stop for a minute and remember how I actually do enjoy training, that the gym is a place I enjoy going, and that I enjoy the process of trying to improve and change my body through diet, training, and chemistry.

After I took the time to focus on that, I had a great workout.

Diet:
Hitting my macros. Calories are at maintenance or around 500-600 above. I don't know if I'll be able to keep that up since it's already affecting my reflux and I have a bloated feeling all day.

End of the week notes.
Trained every body part this week, just didn't log it all. Training is going great. Feel great and things seem to be going well.
Sunday is the beginning of a new week, going to really focus on dialing in my diet and figuring out the lethargy I seem to be experiencing. Sunday is usually a day off from working out and spending the day at Disney. Kind of in the mood to train, so I'll see how I feel after I get home.

Got my biopsy results back and I have skin cancer again. This is the 4th time. I'll post a pic of the last time I had it. They had to cut so much out that I had to have plastic surgery to repair. This is a small spot on my nose, so hopefully it's not too much being cut out.

AAS:
Ace Labs gear is great so far. Without getting into details, and from a behind the scenes POV, Bones is top notch and an all around good guy.

Physique:
Getting some of the results I want, I'm just burdened with the shitty midsection man genetics. Hold fat on My love handles and lower abdomen. Always the 1st spot to gain and last to lose.
One of the biggest reasons I hate increasing calories is because of that.

This is a post just summarizing the last few days.
The lethargy was just brutal this week. Couple of the days I didn't even feel like moving off my couch. My entire body just felt drained.
I'm not on any orals, so I'm really not sure what's causing it.

Still managed to get workouts in. It's a struggle until I get through that 1st set, then I end up having a great workout.

Enjoyed a couple of buffets this week. I thought for sure it was going to bloat me for days, but surprisingly, I felt like I actually leaned out a little. Maybe my body needed the extra calories.

Ace Labs gear is still running smoothly. No PIP and I feel like I'm really starting to fill out.

As soon as I run out of Ace gear I'm just going to extend the cycle with something else in my stash. Testosterone of the, maybe NPP or Tren. We'll see.

April 22nd is the day they cut the skin cancer out. We'll post pics of the aftermath lol. Shouldn't be too bad honestly

1st night at work, Thursday was pretty brutal. Was completely wiped out. Drank a bunch of coffee and managed to survive.
Friday got home, barely remember the drive home, and expected to sleep all day, woke up 3 times between 830 and 11. Up at 1130. Ate a meatball sub and went back to sleep. Finally after about half an hour, fell asleep till 315.
Friday night at work was better. Was busy for a the 1st few hours so that made things better.
215am Saturday morning right now and I'm feeling pretty good.

Trained back Thurs and followed that with some cardio later in the day before I came to work.

Took Friday off from lifting but still did cardio. Got my BF% checked. From almost exactly 1 year ago, I went from 198 at 14% bf to 209 at 14% bf. Happy, but seems like it should be more. I'll take it though considering I had surgery last July that put me out from training hard and heavy for quite a while.

Around the 28th of this month, I'll be finishing up with ACE Labs gear.
I attempted to bump up my calories for a couple weeks, but it's too much for my stomach to handle. Even with PPI's I still have acid reflux, but the worst part is the bloat and regurgitation of food and liquids.
Needless to say, I dropped my calories back down. I'm cutting them to 2200 a day. May just be a permanent cut lol. I don't mind since I do prefer being lean.

After the 28th, I'm going to start some tren enanthate along with some test. Will probably keep test at 750mg/wk and do tren at 600mg/wk. I've used tren as high as 1000, and hitting 1200/wk. Never again. Results were amazing, but the sides were a nightmare.

Diet has been going well. Calories still down around 2200. Definitely hungry all the time but resisting the temptation to cheat, so far anyway.

Trained shoulders and triceps today. Decided to give giant sets a try. Really enjoyed the change of pace and the pump I got.
Right elbow seems to be a little inflamed. Was really feeling it today while training triceps. Stopped my Tricep workout a little early because of that.

Here's a pic from today post workout.

Nothing really new. Sore all over. Knees hurt, right elbow, left tricep, lower back, right rear delt. All pains I can train around though.

Did some triceps today, but went lighter and did giant sets with some drop sets as well. Once again the pump was ridiculous lol. Felt great.

Trained biceps as well, but kept the workout the same as what I have been doing, 1-2 warm up sets and 1 heavy set 4-6 reps per exercise. Usually 4 exercises total.

Sleep continues to be a problem. I work nights and think it'll always be a problem so long as I stay on that schedule.
I just read another article today about all the great health issues I'm at a higher risk of getting because of the constant sleep deprivation.

AAS notes:
Ace Labs gear continues to be smooth with no PIP. I've learned to avoid spot injections in my tris. That seems to be the one spot I do get a lot of irritation.

I think I've got a few weeks left of the EQ and test. Going to make the best of it for sure.

Diet on point. Keeping my calories 2100-2300. I do sometimes go just a tad over based on how much activity I do for the day. For example. I trained back yesterday, did a little cardio after, then mowed my lawn. My lawn is a workout by itself. For all of that, I ate about 150 calories over my goal.
Training is going great. Even with the little aches and pains I'm able to work around them. They aren't the types of aches and pains that are going to lead to further problems, just pushing things a little too hard. It's just a matter of adjusting my weights for certain exercises and making adjustments on hand positions or doing a different variation of a movement to bypass the pain.*
I don't know if it's EQ related as I've seen many people talk about anxiety with it. These last few days the anxiety I've been feeling has been ridiculous. That sick feeling in my stomach just won't go away.*
Besides the anxiety, I just have absolutely NO desire to have any interaction with people.* That's a problem considering I take care of patients in a hospital.* I'm usually pretty good at hiding my disdain for*people, but it's been hard today.

I've been trying to research CBD oil for anxiety and depression. Haven't really found a company that seems legit though. So many to choose from and I'm sure lots that aren't even dosed correctly

Mate, that's not a good way because it affects you negatively. Try to ignore the things you don't like and try to look for the good. I know it's hard sometimes or most times.

CBD oil - I don't know about this but there are some sites with lab testing.

Updates:
Lethargy is still kicking my ass. I'm pretty sure I know the causes of it, but the causes are things I'm just going to have to deal with for awhile.
1st, I work nights. Been working nights for 4 years now. I'm still not used to it and don't believe that I ever will be. I sleep horribly during the day and when I get back to a normal sleep pattern, I toss and turn a lot during the night, wake up to pee every few hours, and am constantly hot lol.

I brought a Condom catheter home from work and have been contemplating using that lol. I usually lose 4-5lbs of water during the night from going to the bathroom. Example:last night, 209,wake up this morning and I'm 204.7. That was getting up every couple hours to pee.

As for my health, prostate is fine, heart, and kidneys are all good. I take chlorthalidone for high BP in the morning, but that shouldn't be affecting me 16+hours later.

2nd: gear. Yes, I feel like over the last year of getting back into the gear scene, I don't handle it like I did 10+ years ago. Ive noticed lethargy every time I've run something since I started up again last April.
Probably depends on the compound, it's toxicity, and dosage being used.

More updates:

Still working around the same aches and pains. Just my right elbow and shoulder.
Elbow I just have to go lighter weights and shoulders I can't do any military style press. Hard to even get into a front double bicep pose because of the way it feels.

I've never used GH before and wasn't sure if that would help with the injuries. I have some mk677, so maybe I will give that a shot.

AAS: no issues. PIP free and overall enjoying this cycle.

Trying to post a pic, but it keeps failing saying it's an adult image lol.

Final post:

I've got about 2 weeks left of this cycle. I don't think much else is going to happen physique wise.
I'm just going to wrap this up and need to dissappear for awhile. Having gotten scammed, multiple phishing emails, and now I haven't been able to log into my ProtonMail for a day or so has me spooked.
Anyway, ACE LABS gear was solid. I think my before and after pics are a testament to that.
