I have been pretty consistent with my training for about 7 months now. The only problem is I didnt have a goal and I wasn't putting much effort into my diet. The result is me unhappy that I wasted that time so this stands as my turning point. I have been eating and training to put on mass and return to my former glory of 230lbs from years ago and this log will be my documentation of that process.

Starting stats 6' 0" 197lbs at 16.5% BF
Desired stats 6' 0" 230lbs at 10-12%BF

I will call this my starting pic, had a nice pump post workout. My workout style lately has been pic 1 maybe 2 exercises for a muscle group and just hammer them with volume. The past few days I've also started stretching between sets and I'm liking it, it makes the pump hurt that much more and I love it.

Thank you. Will be stepping calories up to 4500-5000 calories a day that should start putting some weight back on. I've been maintaining/losing for that past few months on 3500-4000.

The weather is finally getting nicer so I went for a run with my dogs. Nothing crazy just 1.25 miles in 11min. As time goes on I will gradually increase either pace or distance so the overload is gradual and easier to adapt to. Will post workout and diet later today.

This evening's workout consisted of hitting bi's, tri's, delta, last, hamstrings, and calves. Hammered them with volume and stretched between sets, what a pump!

Weighed myself this morning. Weight has gone to 196.8 so + .3lbs and BF has gone from 16.8 to 16.7% in 2 weeks. Will continue to increase calories and I'll post today's workout later.

Well fed and 350mgs of test a week for a couple months helped lol. When I started that cycle I was like 205, made it 235 after like 12 weeks.

No workout today, I was flying for work. Diet wasn't the nicest today unfortunately, macros above. Total calories was around 4500. Tomorrow things should be back to a more normal diet and regimen.

Yeah I ate too much fast food yesterday, it made my stomach bloated as hell. Things will go back to normal today as my travel.for work is done and I bought groceries last night.

None of that looks appetizing to me, but that's just my taste. I stocked up on Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, oats, peanut butter, bananas, veggies, and protein powder to drastically decrease my need to eat out.

There is an Anytime Fitness across from my hotel so I hammered on bi's, tri's, lats, abs, quads, and delta. Machine shoulder presses felt so good, haven't done much pressing with rehabbing this labrum back to 100% so it was a nice change.

Will be heading to bed soon but this is today's macros. Much better food choices today. Workout was good, might change up the routine since I have machines to workout on for the next few weeks and do HIT Dorian Yates style with heavier weights without the risk of injury.

I do avoid fast food it's rare I eat it so when I do it always bloats me. I'm the last person that will judge you though. People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones haha.

Tried a HIT workout today. I was pretty sure from yesterday so it didn't go as well as I hoped. Still a decent workout though. Hammered hamstrings, calves, lats, chest, traps/rear delts, and got a light pump in my arms.

Today's workout was actually fun. I just did cardio but did a variety. Started with rowing machine sprints 20cals at a time with short breaks between. Then battle ropes focusing on working my abs, rotation, shoulders, lats, and arms. Then finished with a slight incline jog for a little bit. Felt great afterwards.

Here's today's macro breakdown. Total calories was at 4010. The majority of my fats came from peanut butter, it was a weird day diet wise. The carbs and protein came easy but it wasn't until evening I realized I didn't have much fats so I downed 6tbsp of peanut butter to get me in a better range for fat intake.

On a separate note I'm on night shift(5pm-3am) now on this job so my feeding window is altered dramatically. Like last night's shift was short so I fell asleep around 2am, slept until 9 ate breakfast, and then slept for 2 more hours. Woke up and went to the gym. I think this could workout as long as I fall back asleep for those few more hours if not I'm going to have to figure out a different eating schedule.

Had good workout, deadlifts for the first time in months. Worked up to a 405 single then dropped down and did some 5's with 225. Aside from that I did HIT style and worked lats, chest, delts, hamstrings, then some pump work for my bi's and tri's. Felt good had veins popping everywhere by the end of the workout.

Great workout today, I had a good mental connection and focus. I hammered on abs, lower lats, traps, quads, upper chest, bis and tris. The pull downs had my lower lats so full of blood it was awesome, and my quads were super pumped as well. All these calories gotta be doing something because I'm staring to have the juicy pumped look again rather than always looking flat. I cant wait to weigh myself back home in a week or so

Cardio day did the same as last week. Started with tow machine doing 20cal sprints 5 times with short rest between, then battle ropes, and ended with a a run on the treadmill. I hit the row sprints hard today and got my heart rate up towards peak output roughly 175-180bpm for a couple of the sprints. Felt good whole workout then did lots of stretching afterwards.

So its been a few days, I just haven't been feeling great. Work has reached a part of the job that requires my full attention to detail for the whole 10hr shift so mentally I'm just drained. I dropped my carbs way down for a day and half to resensitize to the carbs a bit. They're back up again starting this morning. Keep getting some brothers and sisters.

Hit legs today, back/shoulders yesterday, and chest/arms/calves Monday. My appetite is down shop calories have dropped the past few days. Will be doing a day or 2 fast the end of this week, then changing up the diet afterwards to lower carbs and more whole foods and veggies again with higher protein and fats

Today was the first day of heavy compound lifts. I had to do full body since I lost the chance to go to the gym yesterday. I will do an upper/lower split 4 days a week and cardio on the rest of the days.

Today's workout all rest periods between sets were kept to 1 minute. BB Squat 225 3x5, Iso-lateral Incline Press Machine 80each side 3x8 super set w/ 1arm Shrugs 90 3x12, BB RDL 225x5 the 275 2x3 super set with BW Chin Ups x8 x6 x6, machine preacher curls 3x10 super set with Cable OH Skullcrushers 4x10. Hit the tanning bed for a few minutes then got some groceries for the hotel room. Now its nap time before work tonight.

I have been Haha. Yeah the gym is a must, I call the hotels ahead and ask where the closest gym is, been lucky that both have had free membership to anytime fitness usually less than a mile away

Today was a cardio day, hit battle ropes for a bit, abs, then finished with some HIIT on the elliptical. I forgot how good an elliptical is, no pou dingnon the joints like running and with the arms included I can really spike my heartrate and burn a serious amount of calories, I was sucking wind by the end.

The legs are still sore from heavy squats, not used to them anymore. Today will be a heavy compound upper body day to give them one more days rest. I will post the workout later today.

Had a good workout today, hit heavy upper body with 1 min rest between sets. Warm up on the elliptical the the following lifts:
Cable Skullcrushers 4x8 super set with Preacher curl machine 4x8, BB Row palms up 185 3x6, OH Press Machine 90 4x12(big progress for my torn labrum), Incline DB Press 65 3x6(also big progress for my torn labrum), Smith Machine Shrugs 250 4x8 superset with DB Rear Delt Flyes 20 4x15, High Row Machine 125each arm 4x6 super set with Cable Tricep Pushdowns 4x10.

Not getting a big pump is messing with my head because after my workout I dont look full so in my head I think I got smaller but I k ow my calories and protein have been high enough that that isn't the case. Oh well keep on getting it!

Nice! Try some reverse grip tricep push between the queen beds. Also, I like one-arm isolated (underhand) pull-ups to hurt my biceps !! John, I am definitely proud of you.

Weighted Chin Ups +25 3x5 and BWx8, Incline DB Press 60 4x6, Captains Chair Abs superset with DB Laterals 15 3x20, Rear Delt Flyes 25 3x15 super set with Smith Shrugs 230 2x15 then 180 x20, BW Dips x15 x12 x10, Seated Cable Rows 160 4x6, Preacher Curl Machine lots of reps for a pump, Cabke Skullcrushers lots of reps for a pump.

Hit the wheels today felt good the whole time, I changed things up a little and didn't focus on squats today but other exercises it was a nice change of pace. Lifts included:
Ground Base Squat Machine(basically a trap bar deadlift machine) 550 2x3 then 590 3x3, DB Lunges 55s 3x5each leg, seated calf raises 90 3x14 super set with leg extensions 180x12 then 200 3x8, lying leg curl 150 4x6 super set with leg press calf raises 400 3x12, got a big pump in bis and tris and got out. Legs are going to be sore tomorrow I can tell haha

I was pressed for time today so I didn't keep track of my weights but I hit full body since I'll be flying tomorrow and won't have access to a gym. The weights were heavy and I kept everything in the 5-8 rep range. All in all a good workout at a fast pace. Sorry I dont have more for y'all.

I lied I found a gym as soon as I got to the hotel in Wyoming. Guy has a garage gym and takes donations, his place is decked out he has everything plus some strongman equipment, pretty badass honestly. I hit heavy squats, bis and tris, pull ups, and some light DB OH presses. Tomorrow will be cardio. My boss laughed when I told him I found a gym not even a half hour after I got into town, what can i say i like to pick things up and put them down haha.

Cardio today row machine sprints 20 cals at a time(about a minute of all out work) 5 sets, then some rotator cuff work and ended with the elliptical. Total time was 35min and heartrate was high.

Man it's been so long since i tried doing a max lift i forgot how taxing it is. I tried a 315 squat a few days back and failed. Since then my hip flexor are shot and knotted to fuck, same with my neck and upper back. My sleep has went to shit and i have headaches. I know it was from the CNS overload because that is really the only variable that could have me feeling this way. I used to do ahit like this everyday when i was 21-24. I trained so stupid but just muscled my way through everything. Lesson learned here, i dont think there is a place for that type of lifting in my training regimen anymore Haha. Volume is by far a better method of growth for me. End rant.

Sleep is coming back to a normal schedule, havent trained but went for a run today nothing crazy, been working on cleaning up the diet again. Then will go back to the high carbs and calories with lots of volume and stretching between sets again since I was growing pretty fast with that method.

Today's workout started with DB curls superset with cable OH Skullcrushers, then into Incline BB press superset with band chest flues low to high to hit the upper chest, BW inverted row focusing on the upper back/traps/rear delta super set with DB lateral raises, the RDLs triset with BW hamstring curls and BW calf raises, finished with BB shrugs triset with band curls in the front double bicep position s curling towards the head and cable tricep push downs. Stretching in between sets and went for big pumps felt great but the end. I have added creatine and glutamine to my evening vitamin regimen, creatine for obvious reasons and glutamine to have carry over and I crease glutathione production.

I been working on the taper, but I still feel my torso and legs overpower my arms and shoulders. I been increasing the frequency on those areas just gotta stick to it so things become more balanced. Thank you for your response.

Using the bike ride to pre-exhaust my quads worked great. After squating plus that my legs are well aware they put in work yesterday, not terrible doms just the right amount. In a sick way I love it, it hurts so good.

I was in a mood this evening, like when life kicks you in the nuts and you just get pissed off at it. Well this carried over into my workout. The exercises arent important but what it did for my head was. I hit the peripheral muscles as Frank Zane would say, calves arms and shoulders. Got pumped until it hurt and stretched between sets. I feel better now.

So today's workout was pretty interesting, I took 50mg of viagra and 1 good drag of pot preworkout. Went for a 20 minute bike ride, kept it pretty intense. Switched to the highest speed and hardest gear on the bike and just pedaled up and down hills nonstop. Then came back to the house and did weighted neutral grip pull ups BW+50lbs for 5x1 the BW+25 for 3x2 then BW for 2x6. Onto BW Rows pulling high above the head to hit rear belts, traps, rotator cuff muscle for 3x15. Incline bench champagne presses 40s 3x12. Finished with Cable Tricep Pushdowns superset with lying ab vacuums. Having a buzz from the pot was amplified by the viagra so I was fairly high and it wasnt until it was too late that I felt the crazy pumps I had. Stretched between all sets, this made the pumps even more intense. All in all and awesome workout.

So I felt like I was eating shitty for a few days so today I just drank water and black coffee from waking until about 4pm which I had just a beef rump roast cut into steaks, tenderized, and seasoned. 1 steak and sliver of tiramisu cake, after the workout 8oz of 1%chocolate milk 8oz water and 1 scoop of aldi's brand chocolate protein with a healthy dose of cinnamon.

Today's workout was the start of a few weeks of DC training. Went for a 1mile run then hit the following lifts:

Cable Tricep Pushdowns 6plates x11,x5,x5,x4
DB Bicep Curls 40s x9,x5,x4,x3
Floor Press 165lbs x9,x3,x3
BW Leg Curls with 20lb vest on x12
Calf Raises holding 40lb DBs so +80 x20,x13,x10
RDLs 275lbs x7

Stretched after each set. I think with I can step my frequency up on smaller body parts to 3-5 days a week since the volume is low. Try and get my strength up a bit so next time I step the volume up in a few weeks I can throw around a little more weight with the high reps and sets.

Dips w/ 20lb vest on x8,x6,x4

This is really the first I've tried putting any decent weights over my head for almost a year because of my labrum. Everything feels good just the muscles dont have the stamina they used to since I havent pressed in so long. It will return though. Quads and upper back are toasty from the front squats.

Definitely. When I was in the process of rehabbing the labrum I needed to do rotator cuff work basically daily to get the stability back. Now the strength and stability are back so I maintain it with 1 to 2 days a week of band work.

Back to the daily log yall. Today was an off day from training. Last night I pinned 1200iu of HCG. It was from purerawz and it passed the pregnancy test so were good to go. Although if I'm being honest I've been off cycle for 5 weeks, waited long enough for the EQ to clear, and I dont feel like my natural test is suppressed very much. I still have lots of energy, morning wood everyday, sex drive is good, literally everything feels fine. I dont suspect that I have much if any gear left in my system since I wasnt on a very high dosage in the first place so 5 weeks should have been plenty to clear out. I domt think I will run a very intense PCT since this is the case. Clomid will start in a few days and another shit of hcg will take place in about a week or so, I will most likely run 20mg of clomid the first 2 weeks then taper down the following 2 weeks to 10mg. I will post results and updates here.

Unfortunately no, life has been busy and my sole goal has been making money so we can hopefully buy a house by December. Although if we get a house that will open a whole new avenue of projects to work on.

Since my workouts are when I first wake up I've been downing a coffee protein shake mixture with cacao powder. It definitely gives me the fuel needed to lift when first getting out of bed. I never understood lifting on an emtpy stomach, you have no fuel in the tank.

A side note I have an impossible time estimating my BF%. My electronic scale says like 22% but yet my abs and obliques show when I hit abs and they're pumped up despite having small love handles. The only other place I collect fat more than normal is my ass and thighs but that is more evenly distributed. Any educated guesses or advice would be appreciated.

I saw your outlines program for that. I unfortunately dont have the time to put towards workouts like that right now. I do take a lot of steps usually around 24-30k a day or approximately 9-12miles a day. Since starting to left in the mornings and watching what I'm eating better I've been recomping a bit.

I still just dont get how I can have arguably a 10% difference in BF% reading in scale versus the mirror going off the usual adage that abs are visible around 10%BF. So in the mirror I'm 12-14% but the scale says 22-23%, idk I just want a decent amount of muscle at a low enough BF% to have abs nothing crazy haha.

Really. Calipers by a good tech are very reliable, besides body pod and underwater weighing, etc. Those bio-electrical impedance scales do me wrong. Also, I have seen someone who had zero Tricep and other areas were low, then because they had a belly (skinny fat guy) he registered obese. You could never have guessed as he was like a twig.
