The family of oral steroids (17-alpha derivates) was developed to enable more practical approach in clinical treatment - The oral route simply enables long run treatment without getting to the clinic to get the same treatment via injection. The Sdrol injection is a completely different animal then the oral version. With any injection version you should expect relatively lower toxicity per the same dosage as the injection route enables the first pass through the liver
