Does anyone know if the round filters are bidirectional? If they are does anyone know how to tell. The only difference I can see between the two sides is that one appears a little shiny compared to the other that appears completely dull. Is that a clue? I wrote the manufacturer but a language barrier is making communication difficult. I did use the filter and it worked fine the first time but the second time didn’t seem to flow as well until I flipped it? I should also mention the first batch was Test C the second Deca, both used Benzyl Benzoate as a solvent. I didn’t look when I put the first one in, assuming bidirectional, the second one I didn’t look because I thought things would go as well as the first, once they are saturated it’s difficult to see the shiny vs dull anyway. I’d like to get it right the first time because starting over sucks.
Can anyone recommend a more straightforward filtration method? I know about Syringe filters but isn’t there something called a push cap or pop cap or something? I repair IV pumps for a living so if people like the push method better than the vacuum I may be able to help you brothers out on some retired but functional units.

You'll notice if it's the wrong side because filtration will be really slow or you won't be filter anything.
First time I tried my buchner setup I put on the filter the wrong side up etc... And I noticed right away that something was wrong.
