Longtime mixed martial arts (MMA) veteran Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira (http://www.sbnation.com/mma/fighter/122498/antonio-rodrigo-nogueira), who rose to fame in PRIDE FC before his eventual transition to Ultimate Fighting Championship (http://www.sbnation.com/mma/promotion/ufc) (UFC), is getting ants in his pants while waiting for the call that gets him back inside the Octagon.

But after getting his arm snapped in half, it's easy to see why the promotion wants to make sure he's good and ready.
Especially after "Big Nog" was forced to withdraw from a proposed match-up against Cheick Kongo (http://www.sbnation.com/mma/fighter/122493/cheick-kongo) at UFC 149 (http://www.sbnation.com/mma/fight-card/95473/ufc-149) earlier this year in Canada when he re-injured his worn-down wing (http://www.mmamania.com/2012/6/16/3091994/ufc-149-antonio-rodrigo-nogueira-reportedly-out-shawn-jordan-vs-cheick-kongo) and forced up-and-coming Heavyweight (http://www.sbnation.com/mma/weight_class/heavyweight) Shawn Jordan (http://www.sbnation.com/mma/fighter/132926/shawn-jordan) to take his place.

"Minotauro" now tells Sherdog.com (http://www.sherdog.com/videos/videointerview/Minotauro-I-Started-Training-too-Soon-4213) that yes, it was too soon, but he's been taking it "little by little" and is ready to get back inside the cage after a full recovery.
"My recovery is 100 percent. My physical therapist, we worked a lot, sometimes six, seven hours a day. I tried getting better for July but I got hurt again. I think it was too soon. I broke my bone in December and I started to train again at the end of March. I think it was too soon. Now, it's totally recovered and I started to train again in mid-July. I feel my arm is getting stronger, getting faster. I feel all my skills are getting better and I'm ready to go. I'm training every day, doing my strength and conditioning, little by little and I hope to fight soon. I'm just waiting on confirmation from the UFC."
