Don't Commit Multiple Crimes While Carrying a Bag Full of Anabolic Steroids

If you feel compelled to carry a big bag full of anabolic steroids around with you, it is probably best that you walk the straight and narrow and avoid committing other crimes. You might as well wear a sign around your neck that says: Attention law enforcement I have anabolic steroids in my possession!
Giancarlo Amado made the mistake of dismissing such common-sense advice at his own peril. Amado made the mistake of getting in a fight outside a bar while driving around with 300 tablets of oral steroids and four ounces of marijuana in his car.
The Fairfield Police Department responded to reports of a physical altercation between two men outside the Seagrape Cafe on Reef Road. The police arrested and charged both men with a misdemeanor count of breach of the peace related to the fight.
Police also searched the men's vehicles. This led to the discovery of steroids, pot and drug paraphernalia in Amado's automobile.
In addition to the breach of peace charge, Amado was slapped with four felony charges. The charges included two counts of illegal distribution of prescription medication, one count of possession of more than four ounces of marijuana and one count of possession of a controlled substance (anabolic steroids).
Of course, Amado probably didn't anticipate getting into a fight when he left his home that evening. Yet, he probably should have thought twice about taking steroids with him since he also had a warrant for his arrest related to an outstanding traffic ticket with the Clinton Police Department.
The bottom line is if you are transporting steroids in your car, you don't want to break traffic laws or any other public ordinances that would draw attention to your steroid use.
