Creek Wood grad suspended by APSU Govs after arrest for selling steroids

An Austin Peay State University football player from White Bluff has been suspended after his arrest for allegedly selling illegal steroids. Cody Tucker, a 22-year-old senior fullback for the Governors, was arrested Tuesday after drug task force agents said he sold 500 milligrams of liquid testosterone to an informant working for the task force.

A statement from the task force says the Creek Wood High School graduate admitted to police that the liquid was testosterone. He was released on $5,000 bond.

APSU Coach Rick Christophel declined to discuss the charges against Tucker, but the school announced he has been suspended from the team for violating policy. A baseball and football player at Creek Wood, Tucker had been a two-year starter at fullback for the Governors where he was primarily used as a lead blocker.

In 2011, Tucker had seven rushes for 20 yards and three receptions for 39 yards. He also is an upback on kickoff return teams and had three kickoff returns.

Stupid kid. I'm sure he was bragging about it to everyone he knows.
