View Full Version : STAGE 2 HAMSTRING TEAR, BPC-157 AND TB-500

So I suffered a stage 2 tear in my hamstring today at judo practice. Really weird because it seems to be a fluke. wasn't over extended, just think it was a weird angle, under tension, and pop!

Been running 157 and 500 for some tendinitis. Now, will inject both into my hammy. Curious to see how quickly it can help it heal. Stage 2 is normally a couple weeks to a couple months. For comparison, my daughter had/has a similar injury about 3 months ago and still doesn't feel right.

Will update every couple days. Also, am following normal recovery procedure as well: R.I.C.E type stuff, plus the peptides. I guess this is my body telling me I need to rest for a minute :/

Have you thought about throwing in some HGH? That’s what we do and it works miracles. Definitely worth a shot.

Didn't think of that! I've never run HGH before. Should I run a therapeutic dose like 1-3 units a day. Or go for something in the 4-10 range?

I just run 2 iu daily. I’m 43, 5’7 at 195.

So, today I finished my last dose of loading TB500. I took 10mg /week for 2 weeks. Now, I'm going to 5mg/week for 6 weeks. Doing 250mcg morning and evening of BPC157. Both sub-q into upper hamstring, where injured. Also, finishing EQ at 600mg/week. (end of cycle.....injured :/ )

For the first two days after injury, super tender. No mobility. Had to keep a straight leg. Couldn't drive because too painful to sit in car. Could barely use the toilet. Could not put on shoes or socks.

On third day, I was able to drive to work. Had to drive left footed. Could put on slip on shoes, no socks. Could use the toilet with less pain, but cannot sit normal. Must stand to "clean up" Can stand (like a squat) from couch with aide (cane/walking stick).

Fourth day: Driving a little easier. Still left footed. Can stand from couch without aide, but favoring healthy leg. Still painful to move though half-squat to three-quarter squat range of motion. Painful and no strength. (not trying to put strain on it, it just feels weak). Can walk without limp, but limited range of motion when stepping forward. Cannot step up on stairs but can step down. Can sit almost normal on toilet.

Fifth day: Able to stand putting a little weight on leg. Still favoring healthy leg. Can sit through range of motion, but no weight on leg. Took day off work so not sure about driving. Walking better around the house.

Still no where near returning to training but it seems everyday is noticeably better than the day before. Not sure how much is attributable to the peptides, but we will see how fast I recover compared to my 14yo daughter.

I'm eating more strict than usual because I don't want to gain fat weight while down ( i'm a fatty losing weight sooo). Mainly red meat 8oz. a med. potato and i'll get full on mixed vegetables twice a day.

Plan is to finish out first 7 days doing nothing. Just rest. Icing only after work. Not really taking ibuprofen, don't have any "pressure pain". Week 2 I plan to start back doing some upper body stuff. Go light get some blood flowing. For legs I plan just rowing machine to start to see how I feel, and keep mobility.

So it's been 1 week 1 day since the injury.

I must admit I'm impressed. I went from non-use of the leg, to climbing stairs within 6 days. For sure, I'm not even close to 100% but I am mobile, and today, day +8, I did a body weight squat.

I've never had a torn muscle before, so I don't know what "unaided" recovery feels like. But this is healing like some of the strains I have had. Which I must think is good since a strain is a less severe injury.

A strange thing happened today/last night. The injured area started throbbing. Not painfully so. But I could tell there was increased blow flow. Just thought it is weird that it wasn't doing it before. I wonder if it could be from the peptides increasing capillarity formation??

So I plan to start light rehab work this week. Mainly movement/mobility stuff.

Wow was on the fence about running that bpc157 & tb500, but you convinced me after reading your posts! Lol

while on TB and BPC, don't stop using test
if you were on cycle, and stop the cycle wile recovery
go for a TRT dose of 150mg/week of test, as Test helps recovery
also 2 IU of HGH for 5 days a week

Note: re read your TB instructions, as all i have read recommend to use TB 2 times per week
