Use distilled\sterile water or water that has gone through reverse osmosis.

Items needed:

.22 sterile filter
1ml sterile benzyl alcohol
100ml sterile vial
20ml syringe (the bigger the syringe the more pressure it takes)
Two 18g pins one for drawing water and one for injecting in sterile vial.
small pin 27g for letting air pressure out of vial you injecting benzyl alcohol into

Instructions:

Use a 0.22 syringe filter which will do 100ml of water.
Be sure to add 1ml of sterile benzyl alcohol for every 99ml of water.
Then filter into sterile vial.

The pin used for injecting into the sterile vial and relieving air pressure should stay there with the filter until the process is complete. use the other pin to draw the water with. You will be switching the syringe from the filter to the drawing 5 times or so to get 100ml.

If you wish to make a smaller batch to make 10ml of BW, you would use .1ml of BA and follow the same process as above.

I would recommend everyone to use 0.9% NaCl distilled-sterile water.

Everything put in BAC water has a longer shelve life and is favored by most people.
Sterile water is good for a few days.

I always use BAC water for anything that does not need acetic acid, only with those I use sterile water.

Any thoughts or info on PH buffering the water? I've used sterile water for sub-q injects, stings like a bitch on the way in. I'd heard it was because most medical Bac water is buffered to approx blood PH. Of course I suppose I could just look it up and add to the recipe.

Never real thought about it. I get my BAC water by the case for 50-60 dollars shipped. Its easier and lasts me a long time.
