I always find this fascinating, the desire to re-elect someone long before and sometimes just after they take office. I remember seeing Obama 2012 stickers in June 2009.
Do people really not want to see if better choices come available? I know the status quo is to nominate the incumbent for fear of losing the party’s hold on the presidency, but that’s not in the best interest of the country.

I have no beef with our President aside from him being very unpresidential with his knee jerk twitter stuff. Do I think he’s a great president? I think he’s no better or worse than any of them.
Thats when I see people like Tulsi Gabbard talking sensibly, I wonder if I might actually see a president I like again in my lifetime. Now I am watching Dan Crenshaw and I get even more hopeful.

We will ALWAYS be involved in foreign wars and have troops there. When have we not? “Bringing the troops home” cannot and will never be done. What should be the greatest thing about America is that people can have different ideas toward a better country without being subjected to insults.
Here’s a thought, people can be in favor or opposed to a topic but agree upon a compromise to a better end result.
Example: I am opposed to abortion but my stern belief that the government has no business telling people what to do with their bodies makes me what is deemed “Pro-choice”. I am a Libertarian and I agree with most of their platforms except “free borders”.
That doesn’t mean I abandon the party or its other ideals. I just disagree.

I couldn’t agree more. I’m hoping, that with the new rightward tilt of SCOTUS, we get a somewhat favorable opinion later this year in NYC vs. NYRPA.
Defining a level of scrutiny for the second amendment with the lower courts that mirrors the others would go a long way in stopping this intermediate scrutiny, 2A 2 step bullshit used by the lower courts to uphold laws that infringe my right.
I’m very sorry that I missed this argument with that fucking idiot. Trying to have any discussion regarding the 2nd amendment with someone who clearly has no understanding of case laws and the means end scrutiny tactics used by liberal judges to establish them is like beating your head against a wall.
