View Full Version : Who's using Oats in there shake?
This past week to add a few more calories and carbs I began blending steel cut oats in with my morning shake which I take within 30 mins of waking up.
Anybody else adding oats into there shakes?

Yep. If things get hectic, I'll put anything in a shake. Eggs, veg, nuts, fruit, cottage cheese, motrin, ECA,.......

i used to grind mine and put them in my shake.. kills two birds with one stone

thats the first thing i consume every morning. two scoops powder and cup and a half oats. shake let it sit for 5 mins and smash. good shit. and ill make one for a snack if im running short on time. i get better gains when i eat my protein during the day tho so i use shakes for snacks as last resorts. but first meal is always a shake. quick absorbtion from fasting.

Lol. Motrin, flexeril, milk thistle, taurine..... I hate taking pills. Been drinking them for years lol.

I use oats, flax, coco water, fruit, Greek yogurt, protein.....every morning!
Yea I add them to mine, but only around fall/winter when I am bulking. I rarely eat oats or bread when I am cutting. That shit bloats me to hell and I swear I gain 10lbs of fat just looking at bread.

I only but oats, flax seeds and fruit in my shakes.
Oats only go in my morrning snake shake or in my post work out shake if I'm running slin.

My Shake in the am consist of 2 scoops powder, 1.5 cups oats, table spoon flax seed, table spoon peanut butter, 3-5 egg whites, 8-10 oz of water........ this is GOOD STUFF!

2 scoops protien, 1 cup ground old fashioned oatmeal, 1 banana,2 tablespoons natural penut butter, and 2 cups 2% milk. I like the bananas brown so their sweet. Since its a short window for them, once they reach that state, i chop them and freeze them. Its kinda like ice chips in the shake. MMMmmmm

Oats are a must for me. 2scoops protein milk, ice, Greek yogurt and peanut butter.

I use rolled oats however. Easier to dissolve due to them being slightly processed,(processed meaning slightly steamed and rolled)

My protein shake in the a.m. 2% milk, oats, peanut butter, and of course a big scoop of protein !!! I might throw in some strawberry jelly also !!!

Same here. I use a coffee grinder I purchased for under $15. I also grind up nuts with it for my shakes
