Countermail problem

I just opened an account with countermail, free version. I'm trying to send email to another countermail user. I've clearly typed msg on my end and then send. User on the other end sends reply saying I'm sending attachments and he can't read the msg. Can someone lead me in the right direction ? I'm frustrated as I've looked the troubleshooting questions over. I've tried 2 different PC's and got the same reply.

The other end user can't read your message? Does he get anything from you? If so, what happens when they open the message (gerribish, blank, ?)
