Letro is a very potent AI and though many believe that estrogen suppression can reach up to 90+ % that info is In regards to women....not body builders such as ourselves. Below is interesting read on Letro and I'll be sure and link the study refrenced here later today.

Letrozole is a Type-II Aromatase Inhibitor (AI), meaning it competitively attaches to the aromatase enzyme and then suppresses the enzyme’s capacity to metabolize testosterone into estrogen. This substance was developed to combat cancers of the breast by curbing the aromatization. letrozole

When we take a look at its effects in males, letrozol actually reduced estrogen in a test subject to undetectable levels. In yet another clinical study, intravenous usage of letrozole (2.5mcg for 28 days), letrozole lowered Estrogen by 46% in the young men tested, and 62% in the aged subjects. On top of that, generic letrozole also substantially improved LH levels to a tremendous 339 and 323% in the young and the elderly, respectively and also Testosterone by 146 and 99%, respectively. letrozole was capable of producing an optimum LH response to Gonadatropin Releasing Hormone similar to a 152 and 52% increase from baseline either in young or old men, respectively.

The point is, letrozole is a very powerful compound, and as a result, just very small doses are needed. A good daily dose of letrozole for many people is usually around .25-.5mg/day, though medically, it's typically used at 2.5mgs/day. Twenty micrograms of letrozole was good enough, in one study performed on men, to cut back estrogen levels by almost a third.

Letrozole’s effects on cholesterol are, very hard to resolve accurately. They are, in the words of one researcher: "inconsistent.” There were scientific studies, however, proving that decreasing the bodies estrogen to nearly nothing, could eventually take its toll on a person’s cholesterol profile, and can eliminate the sexual desire and the joints- which require estrogen to function safely and effectively.

Even if you take lower doses of letrozole, it is going to reach good blood plasma levels, as it has a 2-4 day half-life, and this long half life also means you must take letrozole for 60 days to get a steady blood plasma level, and that it will take a long time to clear out of the system.

Letrozole is the only pharmacological “treatment” for gyno that's found to have ever worked in body builders. In a study conducted on rodents, letrozole was able to appropriately eradicate breast tissue tumors, and it’s also been useful on many body builders who have tried it to eliminate an active case of gynocomastia. Usually, if letrozole is used to get rid of gyno, it should start with a dose of 2.5mgs/day and then decreased by .25mcgs per week if the symptoms abated.

Regarding making use of this compound on a cycle, unless you're particularly gyno prone, or you need to decrease levels of estrogen to nearly nothing, it’s usually too powerful for many people. Female and male competitors commonly utilize it to have the last pieces of estrogen related water retention out of them throughout the final weeks of competition preparation. However, if used on a normal cycle, letrozole is usually too much unless zero water and estrogen is desired or if ever the user is vulnerable to gyno.

And like the article stated...."letrozole is a very powerful compound"
