The*digital*dollar*currency*would operate alongside the paper dollar and it would be issued by the*US*Federal reserve which also issues the paper*money. A*digital*dollar would not be a decentralised blockchain-based token, but rather a centralised unit at the Federal Reserve and therefore different from Bitcoin.

Is the US ready to compete with China over digital currency supremacy? (https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.trtworld.com/magazine/is-the-us-ready-to-compete-with-china-over-digital-currency-supremacy-37587/amp)

Sounds likely that they might do that. Dont know what the repercussions might be as all countries economies are gauged by the US dollar even btc. I am sure it is inevitable that at currency will be digital but I know it will be highly controlled. No mixing, blending, exchanges will go unnoticed.

I pray they don’t. They will control every move you make, will be able to lock your account etc. I guess they could do that now lol but I see if being a bit more of a control factor.
