Police arrest Keego Harbor man who allegedly ran illegal pot dispensary in Holly

HOLLY, MI – A Keego Harbor man was arrested in Holly Thursday after undercover narcotics officers allegedly bought pot from an illegal dispensary in Holly.
Holly Police Chief Mike Story called the Oakland County Sheriff's Office last week about an illegal marijuana dispensary called Well Greens, at 15190 N. Holly Road, the sheriff's office said in a statement.
Police bought marijuana from Well Greens twice in violation of state law, the statement said.
Officers in Holly searched Well Greens and Keego Harbor police searched a home in the 3500 block of Bulwer Road Thursday, Jan. 24.
The Keego Harbor residence was the home of a 31-year-old man who was arrested in Holly, police said.
In Holly, police found about 11 ounces of marijuana, $770 and various business records.
Police seized about 3 pounds of marijuana, over $900, eight handguns, more than 20 vials of anabolic steroids, large quantities of assorted ammunition, clear unknown liquids and assorted chemicals at the suspect's home in Keego Harbor.
There also were about 50 syringes used for the steroids, a pair of brass knuckles and various business records from Well Greens at the Keego Harbor home.
"This was a front," said Oakland County Undersheriff Michael McCabe of Well Greens. "This was not a compassionate guy trying to relieve someone's pain. It was a front for an illegal drug operation."
The man is being held at the Oakland County Jail and warrants are being sought for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of anabolic steroids, felony firearm and possession of a dangerous weapon.
