The wife and I have been looking for a decent app/formula/calculator to help us figure out our daily macros. Can someone point us in the right direction. Thanks in advance.

I went and had all my stats measured. BMR, VO2, lean mass. The takeaway was the same information you see all over the Internet.

These are all starting points- everything varies based on activity level and actual types of food you eat. NEAT, TEF can have a bigger effect on weight loss than exercise. They can also deter muscle growth and recovery in the opposite sense.

Lose weight 10 calories per lb and adjust down as you go.

Maintenance 12-15 calories per lb

Gain 15-18 per lb

Protein 1 g per lb
Fat .3 g per lb
Remainder carbs

This will get you started and you work out the minor fluctuations based on your workouts and own physiology.
