The 4 Core Disciplines of Traditional Philosophy

Traditionally, philosophy includes at least four core fields or disciplines:

1. ontology

2. epistemology

3. ethics

4. logic

2. Epistemology - study of knowledge — how we know

3. Logic - study of valid reasoning - how to reason

4. Ethics -study of right and wrong — how we should act

5. Phenomenology - study of our experience — how we experience
