pretty sure everyone here's heard of him.he's the senior editor of M&F mag but if you've got the chance check out his vids on youtube or read up on his 12wks to supersize.dude doesn't look like your average monster type guy, inked to the gills tho,but seems to know his shit as far as theories and practices.

i figure it like this:i'm hitting 46.after taking a nearly 15yr layoff due to some things, getting back into the scene in 07ish my body just can't take the get all i can moving mountains anymore.i mean last year before i got pnuemonia i hit an all time flat bench of 447x1 at around 215lbs.not bad for an ex-dope head whose body is wracked with injuries...

Stoppanis workouts are def geared more toward an older guy like myself giving me the hypertrophy i want and the strength i need with lesser risk of injury that a 5x5 or 5/3/1 would incur.

if you haven't checked him out just find the time.it's pretty easy to design your own workout around his plan.just figured this would help anyone in a similar predicament.if i haven't hit the over 500 club by now i'm not trying to kill myself by 50 to get it,lol.just lemme grow.

Awesome post, I now just turned 60 and have good size gunz but have this big gut that I am trying to reduce to no avail. I will ardently try to follow Jim's philosophy for getting cut. This guy is great since I do like his demeanor of confidence becoz it enhances his credibility and believability BTY he looks great for whatever his age is.

I'm with you Rocco. I dont need to move mountains anymore. I never was into huge strength anyway, much less at 42 BUT Im not saying I didnt like getting buck ass strong.
