Got the point where you simply could not pull/lift anymore weight?


For me, it's the lats. I pull an insane amount of weight and my fingers simply can't take it. Not only that, but I have to strap myself to the bench to do the weight I do. What it made me realize is that you can have huge, strong muscles, but you are still dependent on the hands and fingers to pull/lift/push it. Fingers do not have muscles...only tendons.

And don't even start on me about f'ing straps. No doing that anymore.

I don't use straps so barbell shrugs for me. I just couldn't hold the bar. Now it's not an issue with me doing about 75% of my max at higher reps

yeah, that gives me trouble too sometimes. i get this ache in my wrist.

but I just dont get along with straps and ive tried many times. must have 4 sets in my gym bag.

What's wrong with the straps?

for me they're a pain in the ass. you can use the right hand to get the left strap just the way you need it, but it takes houdini like slight of hand to get the right one like you need it. it can be done, mind you, and i have, but i don't feel like sitting on the lat pull down bench for 5 minutes fucking the straps. besides, my lats are really big enough for my size. im not competing. im more into going into the gym and enjoying my workout.

I have maxed out on tricep pushdowns. The cable stack for pushdowns at my gym goes up to 150 only.

I've never had trouble with straps.. only takes me a couple seconds to strap up to the bar before deadlifts.. a lot of people bitch about straps. My guess is u can't be using them correctly..

Keggoles once I did 5 sets of 40 and couldn't finish the last set I couldn't even take a dump for like 3 days

Hey man. Have you ever tried some Versa Grips? I've been using them for awhile now. Google them and check them out.
