Forty-nine year-old Ivan Bolievsky of Carmiel was forced to post a cash bond and deposit his ******** with customs officials, Monday, after he was caught allegedly trying to bring 18,000 capsules of counterfeit anabolic steroids into the country. His son also had to post bond to back up a 60-day foreign travel ban.

Bolievsky was arrested after arriving on a flight from Kishinev, Moldova. He said he bought the capsules on the advice of his personal trainer for 3,000 Euro but the drugs - which are illegal for importation and sale in Israel because of their side effects - had a retail value of 360,000 shekels, making the smuggling not only a health issue but a matter of NIS 65,000 in tax evasion.
