      Blockchain wallet

so I've created an account on block chain for making donations, my question now is there's a section that says steps to being able to buy and sell bitcoins and its 4 steps. 1. Create account 2.verify 3. Upload documents 4. Link bank. Do I have to setup all these steps? I ask because they ask pretty private question such as address social security etc. I was under the impression you could use this site (wallet) without getting into too much detail about yourself, thus being able to make donations to wherever you please without much of a trail to yourself. Just confused and wondering if I have to fill out these steps to be able to transfer bitcoins to this wallet n to further make donations or can I bypass it, thanks.

Typically you would buy coin elsewhere ( I personally use coinbase) and then send it from there to your Blockchain wallet and from your wallet to sponsor.
Coinbase does require quite a bit of info.

The information they ask for keeps you and your account safe. It is required..

No I wasn't confusing them for some reason on the website it was asking for those 4 things but the app sows it's ready to receive coins, I have both coinbase and blockchain I plan on purchasing from coinbase and then sending them to blockchain to use with a sponsor. Being new to this I am slightly confused how to purchase btc from coinbase and transfer them to blockchain I'm doing my reading but having some issues understanding, if someone could help me out by laying it out as simple as possible I greatly appreciate it, I'm just fearing of screwing up n losing my money..

If you have a bitcoin atm in your area you can send cash directly from the atm to blochchain. That’s what I do now and avoid coinbase all together

I actually have an atm about two miles away, did a little bit of reading on them tell me if I've got this right. I deposit an amount into the atm n I will get a printed receipt showing my deposit from there I can scan the receipt with my phone and transfer it into my blockchain wallet?

No open up your blockchain app. Click receive. Scan the qr code and send funds to your wallet id

Mine has no fees they just charge you higher then the going rate. It ends up just costing me a few dollars and it’s way easier then having to go somewhere wait in line and what not. Just buy your bitcoin when it’s cheap and sit on it till it’s worth more
