before I hire Will Harris I had always stuck to teh 10-12 rep thing. But he frequently pushed me to 20-25 reps, even if he want helping me mve the weight towards the end and my entire body changed. Its an awesome way to break up monotany.

I used to keep reps to 8-12 soon as I started pushing reps till failure or close to, gains exploded and still do. Why stop if u can do more reps? That whole planning how many reps and stopping at that is silly and not fun. Its fun to break rep records and weight as well.
I like to finish workouts with lots of drop sets with lots of reps to really make sure I get lots of volume and muscle are wasted.
Def good to change it up with high reps every now and then.
I am a believer in high rep sets I believe I have got my greatest gains from them.
Interesting, I do high reps ad-hoc but generally 8 for compounds and 12 for isolation. I might have to change it up soon to keep it interesting as well!
High reps really made my legs grow.
I used to go heavy/low rep in my younger days. Now I prefer high rep. I still grow plenty, and less chance of injury.
I think as all of get older we wind up switching to higher reps....at some point.
I'm over 40 and have done the same.
What are you younger guys thinking if you see guys getting results with high reps? Maybe the heavy lifting just isn't needed?
