High Reps can work for me if my training is spot on
I've been doing 12 reps but I'm definitely going to lower the weight and push for 20 to 25 reps every set. I know fall and winter is coming but I'm preparing for a cutting cycle. High reps should be good for it
I love high reps more pain more pump and more safe.
I love higher reps. It’s what I do. You can concentrate more on the brain to muscle isolation and get one hell of a work out. When I do heavy weights for less. I never wake up sore. Lighter weight more reps I feel the burn big time. The pump is insane and I get that sore feeling the next day or two. Makes you feel like you actually worked out for once. I like to do the heaviest weight I can get 20 reps with. My 20th rep I want to be almost failure. If I get 20 too easy then I bump it up for sure. But I also throw one or two work outs in that I do heavy weight with it. So I get best of both worlds. And try to mix it up all the time. I don’t like to do the same things over and over repetitive. Muscle confusion. Trying to shock the muscle.
Strong bump and, 5 years later. Still hitting reps!
Just started doing this as well, rich Piana (rip) swore by it so I'mma do it, never really went to 20 before
High reps really helped me on certain movements. Plus the pump is awesome.
High reps can also help iron out form inconsistencies and get you better ready for moderate reps with lots more weight without tearing your joints up.
