I do it, but normally, I will do it with a different muscle group.

I like super setting bi's and tri's sometimes. You can work to opposing muscle groups like that pretty hard.
i do bis then tris... but you need to pre fatigue the muscle group being worked next. aka. back bi day, do your back first as it will pre fatigue your bis and allow you to lift heavier on back
I agree on switching it up. I mix it up and integrate workouts mentioned in prior posts. I even mix it up as much as going away from the traditional route of back and bis, chest and tris etc and I will work out chest with biceps or even back with triceps sometimes. I do this just to shock my body. It helps me, but everybody is different.
I switch up my routine once i notice that it is losing effectiveness. Your muscles will develop a memory to your routine and movements and bring in other ancillary muscles to assist. when this occurs your gains will start to taper. Think of it as a kid learning to hit a fastball. after it doing it long enough it becomes second nature. Now if you throw a curveball (pun intended) he must re acclimate to the new pitch and learn to hit it as well. find what works for you and stick with it until you need to change. right now i am on antogonizing supersets (ie a chest exercise followed by a pull for the back. 1 set each and then start second set after required rest)
