      muscle rest

What is the best amount of time to rest a muscle so that it heals and maximum growth is achieved. I say a week. My buddy says 48 hours and another buddy says over 9 days. Who is right lol

Ive always heard 48 to 72 hrs for recovery.I lift 5 days a week and take the weekends off for recovery.I think it also depends on the intensity of your workout, your age and what supplements your taking for recovery. if it takes 9 days to recover, your eather really sore or not doing something right.

Depends on muscle worked as well. Your smaller muscle groups will recover faster than your larger muscle groups. Agreed ^ Type of training makes a difference, too. You would rest longer for Doggie Crapp training compared to an High Intensity workout.

Our.argument.startes.with how.often.to train a muslce group. I say once a week they say twice for maximum growth. Im thinking twice a.week would be breaking it.down to much

On cycle I try to hit everything twice a week(when time allows) for about 5-6 weeks, take 2 weeks for high reps and more cardio, and repeat. Off cycle I lift 3 days a week and do cardio the days in between.

The amount of time I train each muscle group depends on if I'm bulking or cutting. I train one muscle group per week when bulking and twice a week when cutting.
