Yes,if you are a bodybuilder like I am,i like a variety of different reps, and only once in a while do I ever go down to 6 reps, generally 12-30 reps and some times 100 none stop called feeder workout, and talk about pump and sore, bodybuilding is about building muscle not moving huge weights like power lifters, its important to run heavy weights now and than, during your workouts, but to always do super heavy weights, well it chews at your joints and tendons, now almost 61 I have had 12 major surgeries, and my latest one I amnow doing PT to try and straighten the arm from elbow reconstruction surgery, and carpel tunnel on both hands, and recently lumbar surgery for my cyatic nerves, two years ago,i tried a certain work load routine, and it had two days of very heavy loads, and was 3-5 reps for 6 sets of squats,so on that day,i always did 5 reps, instead of 3 just because I like reps, well I was closing in on 500 lbs full squats and one day I just woke up,and could not straighten up,its not worth it,get that mind muscle connection and squeeze and pause when you can.
