Old School vs New School: Thoughts?

What is everybody's thoughts on old school bodybuilders vs the new era?

In terms of what has made the biggest difference in the shift of physique changes?

In the picture of above of Phil Heath and Arnold. Phil's muscles look harder and more dense, and he also looks a lot leaner, but with considerable more mass.

I realize, photoshopping and the fact they could have been in different phases of training/diet could be the difference, but what is everybody thoughts?

I have heard GH/Insulin and other peptides have contributed a lot to the increase in mass, and difference in physique, but does anyone think diet, goals (bulkier goal) and even new AAS could be a bigger factor? I've read Arnold and them only had access to things like Deca, D-Bol and Test, as oppose to all the hardening/cutting drugs today, and stuff like Tren.

Just wondering everybody thoughts, would be interested to hear.

Personally I like the older era of bodybuilding physique, but I know everybody is different!

I'm with you-the classic physique looks fantastic. The big guys of today are nothing short of impressive, but it's just not the kind of look I aspire to achieve. Hell, probably never could anyway.
