Be realistic and patient with regards to putting on size. Quality gains come with time, not overnight. Be consistent with your workouts. Learn about proper nutrition to support recovery and growth. Learn proper form for the exercises in your routine so you're able to really feel a good squeeze in the target muscle group. Get a good nights sleep (for a man in his 20's & 30's approximately 70% of the Growth Hormone released happens during deep sleep). There are a lot of idiots out there who think they're experts on bodybuilding and hand out stupid advice so be aware of that and over time you will be able to differentiate between good advice and stupid shit. Vary your workouts to keep your muscles stimulated for growth. Read, read, read to educate yourself on proper training, diet, and supplements.

What is The most Important Lesson/Tip/Rule
I find myself repeating the same “mantra” to myself and my son:
This is when everyone else goes home.
Nothing too witty or special, but it means something to me.
To me lifting isn’t just about looking better or feeling better physically.
It’s about teaching yourself that that moment when your head is telling you that you can’t keep going is epic bullshit. You have to find those “limits” and force your way past them.
90% of people get to the first bump in the road and go home and watch Game of Thrones.
That moment is why we are here. We don’t want to quit at the exact moment all the blood sweat and tears is about to add up. Save a lot of time and money and just stay home in the first place if you’’re not here to work.
This is when everyone else goes home.

As said before diet is key & Mind to muscle connection is more important than the amount of weight you can push.
