After reading everyone's replies I had an epiphone. I have been thinking about this incorrectly in my head. I wanted to use the bike to replace squats for my quads. If I keep my squat reps lower and weight higher i will have the strength part of growth covered, then use the bike as volume or high rep work for growth in my quads. I think if I use this approach and "attack it from both sides" I would have more than enough stimulus for growth with less weat and tear on my joints and back.
