Replacing Squats with Riding a Bike

If someone already has enough mass on their legs how do you guys feel about replacing squats with riding a bike? More specifically riding in high gear or sprinting hills so it has the same intensity as doing squats for quad maintenance/growth? I feel it would be effective, and mentally easier to stick to since I have zero desire to squat anymore(multiple reasons for this not just laziness). I appreciate y'alls thoughts.

I think it's a good way to achieve more muscle separation.

I'm ok with that, I have enough mass on my legs I feel. I mean hell my pants and shorts are tight in the quads and hamstrings but loose in the waist so I dont really need to grow them much bigger haha.

You can mix this up with high rep (100+) leg extensions and really get that Tom platz style seperation.

Yeah I mean would your replace your Bench press or primary chest movement for pushups ?

I don’t know all your reasons for not wanting to squat but why not use the leg press instead of squatting? Squatting is definitely not essential to leg development

I dont go to a gym, I just have a BB and plates at home so limited equipment. So my main movement choices are squats or lunges which after squatting for years I just dread it among other reasons. If I had access to to a leg press at home I'd be golden haha.

I would dare to say that you would be pretty upset with the results if you completely stop squatting. There are so many variations to the squat that you can interchange into your training that you should never get bored if that’s the main reason. Squatting heavy also builds a massive core and back strength that you will deff lose if you stop. I would say you will deff lose strength and in my opinion if you lose strength you’ll lose size. Can’t push big weight good luck being competitive

Nothing can replace squatting, but hell ino alot of guys that dont squat. Fuck it hurts . I just feel it's one of the big 3 for strength. Squats are like the foundation of getting strong , and staying strong. Again I know some bad motherfuckers that dont squat. So to each his own I suppose . Just my 2 cents
