I like this, will have to give it a try.. I am no longer trying to be superman in the gym every single training session like I was in my younger years, but I could defiantly use something like this to throw in my split for maybe one workout day per week to really mix things up and shock the body. When I first got into bbing I read a lot of mike metzer and dorian yates training methods and used them a lot! Looking back on it now, I can see that they def worked to create hypertrophy but I needed to rest more to take advantage of the growth. It seems like that was the hardest part for me, it was not the HIT training sessions in the gym it was the damn mind games I played with myself while resting, trying to convince myself I was recovered and needed to get back in for another workout when in reality I was prob 'recovered' from the workout, but had not left any time for 'growth' to occur. I cant remember who I heard this analogy from, but its like digging a hole in the ground is = to workout out, you have created damage.. Now as you rest that body part the hole is getting filled back in, and eventually it will become level again. This is where most of us jump back in to train again, when we should wait a few more days and allow that hole (muscle) some more time to build a small mound (new muscle) on top of the hole before we start digging again. I feel like I spent a good amount of time digging a hole, then digging again once it was level without waiting for the growth to happen lol.. Anyhow, little tangent I went on there, but I think its always something good to remember when doing these kinds of high intensity workouts!

The rest is where the growth happens, as we age we need to allow more time for that. I designed this for maximum damage in a short period (saving calories) and adding recovery time. It works for all body types but is esp effective for hard-gainers and those of us over 35.
Thank you for the feedback. Lmk how it works for you!

I get this question a lot on this aspect the method so this time I copy/pasted my reply to oost. Hope this clears up the confusion on that part.
Q: "So I checked out your Oak Method and I really like it, So let me ask can you explain the last part when your saying go to failure with 2 reps and then move to next motion?"

A: So youre cycling through 3 bicep motions, lets say: standard curl, dumbell curls, preacher curls...
Lets say the 3rd time through the cycle of those 3 exercises you fail after 2 reps of standard curls... So youre done with those.
You do the other 2 motions alternately until you hit 2 rep failure on lets say preacher curls.
      So youre done with those.
All thats left is dumbell curls now so you do sets if those with minimal rest (39-90sec) between sets until you hit a 2 rep failure on them. Then youre done with biceps.

I use an app as my record book. I actually created a workout based on the Oak Method. Think I am going to use it for my winter hypertrophy phase. I used it with with some 12 rep sets and had too much of a pump to do curls. Felt pretty good.

Very cool! When the time comes you should do a log. We need more loggers here. Its a great way to stay on track and I think we all enjoy going on the journey with guys as they try new things and gain new experience. Thanks for checking it out.
Keule206 did Oak Method longer than any human should, lol, and he has the physique to match his intensity. Check out his logs in Pomp's Place subforum.

I will read his log and see what I can glean. As the time approaches I will ask some more questions. Thanks for the information. Looking to start in October.
