      I too like to mix it up during a workout. I do 1 heavy (8-12) rep exercise then another one with lighter weights and (15-20) reps. I have found that when I do that the muscle being worked gets engorged with blood thus resulting in really nice pumps. Plus i think it also shocks the muscle so you don't get stagnant.

      I go with what creates the most protein synthesis which from research has proven to be 3 x10.

      This is somewhat true, only thing your muscles need is a load, they will grow regardless. MUscle confusion is a marketing scheme in my opinion.
